I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and his family. He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

Die Unterkunft Kaala Kalaththewa Luxury Eco Resort, die in Anuradhapura, 6 km von Attikulama Tank entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Außenpool, einem kostenlosen... It was exceptional. The staff was professional and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The whole resort was clean, spacious and beautifully designed. It's located in a small forest with butterflies, pheasants, a variety of wild birds and cute chickens. You can take a walk, play badminton, go to the nearby lake or visit the temples in anuradhapura or mihintale - it's very close. The hosts can arrange tours as well - we went to Anuradhapura with a guide and it was very fun and a fair price. Also the food: try the Sri Lankan breakfast it's delicious! We loved the tree house - it was so relaxing when it was rainy. They even offered room service. :) long story short - a must stay. Ps: please note that there is nature around. It's a tree house in a jungle-like forest. There are occasionally frogs and other visitors on your terrace. We loved it though.

Probably one of the best felt places ive stayed in Sri Lanka, John D is a super nice guy who treats you like a friend and the size of the place creates a very comfy and intimate athmosphere. Also there are hammocks 🥰

Vorteilhaft gelegen im Zentrum von Anuradhapura, bietet die Unterkunft Emerald Home Stay Gartenblick und eine Terrasse. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber & modern, warme Dusche, alles war perfekt. Die Gastgeber sind äusserst herzlich und servierten sehr leckeres Frühstück & Abendessen. Am nächsten Tag brachte uns der Gastgeber sogar mit dem Auto zum Busbahnhof.

From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Weniger als 39 km von Kumbichchan Kulama Tank und 39 km von Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi entfernt in Habawewa gelegen, bietet die Unterkunft Wilpattu Mookalan Resort Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit kostenlosen... Im September 2025 haben wir zwei Nächte im Mookalan Resort verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr bemüht haben uns bei all unseren Anliegen geholfen. Eine ganztages Safari würde auch direkt von den Gastgebern organisiert und auch durchgeführt. In den 2 Tagen waren wir auch immer bestens versorgt und konnten den Aufenthalt sehr genießen. Abensessen im Resort direkt ist sehr zu empfehlen - sehr lecker und auf der Terrasse im Dschungel etwas besonderes. Die Betten sind angenehm und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Lage direkt am Eingang des Nationalparks perfekt. Wir sind am ersten Abend zum See vor der Unterkunft spaziert und konnten eine Elefantenfamilien beim Trinken beobachten. Insgesamt eine absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft. We spent two nights at the Mookalan Resort in September 2025. The hosts were very helpful with all our requests. A full-day safari was also organized and carried out directly by the hosts. During the 2 days we were always well looked after and were able to enjoy our stay very much. Dinner at the resort is highly recommended - very tasty and something special on the terrace in the jungle. The beds are comfortable and the rooms very clean, which is also a plus. Perfect location right at the entrance to the national park. We walked to the lake in front of the accommodation on the first evening and were able to watch a family of elephants drinking. Overall, an absolutely recommendable accommodation.
