Sriyan Villa is a beautiful place set in a peaceful environment where nature surrounds you from the moment you arrive. It’s just a short walk to the beach, and if you stroll a little to the left, you’ll find a lovely stretch of beach that’s very safe for swimming. From the shore, you can also arrange boat rides along the Bentota River—an unforgettable experience. The owner, Samira, is incredibly knowledgeable about the surrounding area and is always willing to help. He even took us around for a very reasonable price and arranged a massage at the villa for us at a good rate. Breakfast was excellent with generous portions, and on a particularly hot day, he kindly brought fresh fruit juice without us even asking. The villa itself is beautifully done in an antique style, with hot water, air conditioning, and all the comfort you need. I stayed for three days, and it was absolutely perfect. In the mornings, plenty of birds visit the garden, making the stay even more special.

Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel avec fruits et spécialités Sri lankaises. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et font découvrir avec plaisir leurs spécialités culinaires. Plage accessible en 2mns à pieds.

Accommodation was basic but clean and lovely. Beautiful swimming pool. Delicious breakfast but even better was the genuine reception received from Victor and Deepi and their family. So hospitable and shared with us a wonderful insight into Sri Lankan life. If you want to tour locally they can arrange this at reasonable prices for you.

A Misty Mountain Paradise — Beyond Words Just 1.5 hours from Colombo, yet it feels like stepping into a dream — surrounded by misty mountains, forest, and clouds drifting past your window. The villa itself is breathtaking — glass walls all around, giving the feeling of being in a treehouse suspended in the mist. Sunrise feels magical. The food was exceptional — fresh, natural, and made with love. We mostly chose the local dishes — kiribath served with caramelized onion, homemade salmon(red curry), laveriya, herbal porridge and fresh fruits. Their western cuisine was equally wonderful. No added sugar or artificial flavors and the beautiful presentation made every meal memorable. Mouthwatering lunch wrapped in banana leaves and evening tea with helapa added that special Sri Lankan warmth. The villa was spotless — truly the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. The owner’s hospitality was beyond comparison, making us feel like family. My daughter loved the short forest hike nearby, and the peaceful surroundings made it so hard to leave. Manarala Villa is pure serenity — a 7-star escape where nature, comfort, and care blend perfectly. We can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

We had a fantastic time at Sunny Villa. Sarah and Rosi gave us the impression that we were staying at a family home rather than a guesthouse as soon as we arrived. Both of them are incredibly kind, welcoming, and sincerely helpful they are always smiling and have excellent local advice. The beach, which has good waves for surfing and clear water for swimming, is only a short stroll away, making the location ideal. After long days in the sun, the clean, comfortable rooms and beds were just what we needed. Sunny Villa made us feel welcome in every way. You come here as a visitor and go away feeling like a member of the family. Our stay was better than we could have imagined. Highly recommend!
