Our room was spacious and even had a second exit to a terrace just a few meters from the stunning pool, where pool towels were always available. Every morning, after enjoying a fantastic serving of curd with honey and a fresh fruit platter, we were offered a choice between a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast or a Western-style breakfast — all beautifully prepared and delicious. Every day, we were provided with one liter of water per person and a fresh king coconut each. The staff checked daily if we wanted our room cleaned, fresh towels, extra toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner — amazing care for guests. The hotel also has a private gated parking area where we safely parked our tuk-tuk, and there’s even a professional massage chair available for everyone in the common area. Highly recommended — we would definitely stay here again!

The family who run the hideaway are all attentive, generous and go above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable stay. I was able to swim in the river each day and eat delicious home cooked meals 3 times a day. I had not planned to visit the rainforest or this area of Sri Lanka and I ended up pivoting to find some solace for my final three nights and I'm so glad I did. Thank you to the property owners for looking after me. I'd love to stay again when I return to Sri Lanka.
