The rooms were spotless, spacious, and had a beautiful view of the paddy fields — waking up to the sounds of birds was such a peaceful experience. 🐦🌾 We absolutely loved the Sri Lankan breakfast — so authentic and delicious! The food overall was just awesome, and we even enjoyed picking fresh mangoes straight from the garden — such a lovely touch! 🥭 The resort's large swimming pool was perfect for relaxing, and the overall environment was clean, serene, and beautifully maintained. A big thank you to the management for keeping the property and surroundings neat and inviting. The location is also ideal — very close to Yala National Park, and we had an unforgettable Yala Safari experience. We also visited the sacred Kiri Vehera Temple, which was just a short drive away. I truly felt like part of the Farm Villa Resort family, and I already look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, explore, and enjoy genuine Sri Lankan hospitality!

Situated in Galgamuwa in the Monaragala District region, Redstone Cottage Gal Oya has a terrace and mountain views. This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊
