The toilets and showers were very clean. A magical paradise. The hut was perfectly cute right on the water front.

La Urraca Loca Hostel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Balgue. Featuring barbecue facilities, the property is located within 12 km of Maderas Volcano. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests. It’s a nice little oasis, not too far off the main road with a spot to park out front. The dorm beds were comfortable (and each had their own fan). There are nice places to chill, it’s well laid out, and the restaurant prices are very reasonable. When it’s not cloudy, you get a great view of volcano Concepcion from the 2nd floor. Irs pretty easy to chat with other travelers.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Amazing place. Beautiful dorm (private fan and mosquito net) with real beds. Clean showers and bathrooms next to the dorm. Remote location but you only hear the sounds of the nature (howler monkeys!). Lovely staff and cute dogs. I had been travelling for 7 months and staying in Finca Mystica was so good for me. Also they have a yoga shala where the dogs come with you.
