There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. A phenomenal stay at Atana Bidiyah private camp. Jassim and his crew know hospitality and will make your private desert stay a wonderful experience. You may believe this to be a once in a lifetime experience, but my heart is set on returning to the desert, to Bidiyah, and to Oman. The camp is the furthest one in the desert so we were very far from the town of Bidiyah and it’s light pollution- far enough away to see the beautiful night sky be-speckled with stars. The tent is well designed and faces east to capture the most beautiful sunrise you’ll ever see over the desert sand dunes. No match for what you’ll see on Dune or Tatooine. There were just a few tents at this camp making for a very private setting, with just a few friendly neighbors. The base of the camp is where we had meals. They prepared great dishes (buffet), and had vegetarian options too. After dinner, we sat outside with the few people at the camp and had some tea and conversation. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and sometimes there’s a fire at night. The camp also boasts eco tourism using solar cells and limits the use of plastics. It was very quiet (except for the winds). There’s a fully functioning open air, private, outdoor bathroom attached to our tent where you can shower under the stars. Keep in mind that you’ll be covered in a thin layer of sand and sometimes it gets very windy so some eye protection would’ve come in handy. Lastly, I highly recommend meeting the crew at the meeting point in Bidiyah and having them drive on the desert sand. Jassim picked us up, had great communication, and simply the most hospitable and nicest person you’ll ever meet. He stopped so we could say hi to the camels, take a few photos, and had a few laughs.

The accommodation was beautiful clean, neat, and equipped with everything you might need, right in the middle of the golden sands. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional, and I especially loved the gathering after dinner with the other guests, sitting under a sky more beautiful than I’ve ever seen, filled with countless stars. We also enjoyed the resort’s trips , the camel riding was such a peaceful and authentic experience so was our visit to a Bedouin house, and the dune bashing was thrilling, with a sunset so stunning it felt straight out of a movie. One of the closest stays to Wadi Bani Khalid - 30 to 40 min drive. Since we arrived here the previous night, we were able to reach Wadi Bani Khalid in time the next morning. Very Clean and spacious room. Good Parking space. The owner was also very helpful.
- highly recommend booking the desert drive for 30 OMR (per car), this included the transfer to/from the camp from the parking lot. The drive to the camp includes a serious uphill section, a cheap 4x4 rental got stuck several and couldn't make it. The desert drive is lots of fun, the driver will drive to 2 viewpoints (for sunset) with fun dune driving in between.
Location, parking, large size of room. Wardrobe etc. Able to eat outside & have a BBQ
Very nice and friendly atmosphere, good dinner, we enjoyed the firecamp. Drinks (Tea, coffee, water), dates and fruits available all the time. The transfer from the parking place to the camp (as we didn't have a 4x4) was a bit expensive - 15 OMR.
All good, not much to say about nor amenities offered around, but If you don't have any other pretention than staying as close as possible to Wadi Bani Khalid for your next trip, then it's definitely your choice. Rooms, parking, cleanliness: all approved.
from the options around this camp offers really good value for the price, there is a possibility to use a 4x4 transfer for 15 OMR from a parking spot, the tents are far from each other and are extraordinary tidy and comfortable. the hosts are extremely accommodating and helpful.
