Machiya Posong ligt in Taitung, op 12 minuten lopen van Taitung Railway Art Village en minder dan 1 km van Bospark Taitung. Clean and comfortable. Great and friendly staff, especially the young man who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city. Definitely pick this if you like a mix of Japanese and Taiwanese culture. 9.5 score.

Inari Humble House ligt in Chishang, op 7 minuten lopen van station Chishang en 2,9 km van Mr. Brown Avenue, en biedt gratis WiFi en een terras. A fantastic hotel in a convenient location, close to Brown Boulevard. The facilities were very modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty (and accommodated me being vegetarian) and the free snacks were generous. Staff were really helpful and gave us somewhere to leave our bikes. I highly recommend this hotel.

Kaori B&B is gelegen op 2 minuten lopen van station Chishang en biedt gratis fietsen en een gedeelde lounge. De accommodaties hebben een balkon en gratis WiFi. I stayed at Kaori B&B on 15th Oct 2025 for one night, in the Standard Double/Twin Room. Kaori B&B is one of the best hostels I have stayed in! The location was fantastic, 3min walk to the Chishang train station, next door to a supermarket, next door to Family Mart convenience store (24hr), 1min walk from the night market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and close to many restaurants and eating places. The room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. It was on the third floor and there was a lift. There were also many small things that showed the hostel was thinking about guests; such as a free minibar, free bicycles (which was useful to cycle to Dapo pond (5mins) and brown boulevard (20mins), free vouchers/discounts at selected partners such as restaurants and shops, slippers for the room, and a balcony with a washing machine and area to dry clothes. There was also a cooking stove and kitchen sink (which I did not use). The bed was also slightly firmer which was great! Had small issue when using the self-check in kiosk (scanner was not working), but gave the staff a call on the phone and they arrived within 2mins. Before arriving, the hostel sent an email with a code to enter the reception area (which is not always manned), and there is a sign in the reception area with information on how to contact the staff. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave tips on things to do and places to eat. While slightly more expensive than other alternatives in the area, it was worth every penny and perhaps more! Would definitely stay here again!
