Already the arrival was very pleasant: We were welcomed by Gabriel who picked us up from the boat and walked us to our house. The house was great! Lovely decorations, super clean, good wifi, kitchen equipped with everything you need, quiet and with green all around and right at the boarder of the National Park. Gabriel and his colleague Rodrigo gave us a little walking tour around the village with recommendations for restaurants and info/history about the town with a visit to the Turtle Museum. They were such great guys that we decided to do a Canoe tour with them the next morning and also that we enjoyed very much. Tortuguero is amazing and peaceful with its infinite beach, the canals & the park with its amazing wildlife - definitely one of our highlights of our Costa Rica trip.

I loved my stay here! The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and there were great free toiletries (including conditioner). Wifi and AC worked perfectly. The shared terrace was the perfect place to relax and listen to the waves. The location was also very good, a bit further away from the main street but you could walk there in a couple of minutes. The beach was right there across a small path and you could hear the waves to the terrace. Booking tours was very easy through them and they were great! The turtle nesting tour was very informative and we had a much smaller group compared to some others. It was truly a highlight! Carmen also shared other tips for the town and was very responsive and kind when I had questions. I would absolutely stay here again!

really lovely apartment in a quiet location. the garden actually overlooks the nature reserve. we saw frogs, iguanas, capuchins and 2 anteaters just sat on the verandah outside the apartment. the apartment was very clean and well equipped. the hosts Adriana and Rodrigo were very friendly and Adriana showed us the wildlife in the garden. Fabian, who works for the hosts, took us on a wonderful canoe trip along the river and channels and pointed out loads of wildlife. he's very knowledgeable and also so friendly. he also took us on a walk through the reserve, which was really interesting and pointed out so much wildlife, he's so enthusiastic, it was a joy to accompany him. you can arrange tours with him through the accommodation.

The staff was really friendly and the location was outside town with a beautiful beach. Expect for a barking dog the place was quiet. The room was ok and the beds ok. Good value for the price! Tortuguero is a remote place so I don’t think you should expect too much of a high standard.

Great location at the end of the village. Staff were lovely & very welcoming. They arranged pick up from the airport for us. Nice little bar overlooking the river with many cocktails available. Good aircon. We loved the resident dogs.

Amazingly helpful host. There with her kids. This clearly their home and it was great to stay with them. Their pet cat liked me and sat with me for hours.

Great location, the linked Budda cafe has its own dock. We used booked our boat with FERSA as recommended by the accomdation and they were great and dropped us at the cafes dock. Loved Budda cafe, very relaxing with great food, great staff, comfy seats and friendly dogs. The room was clean and spacious
