This is a great place to stay with friendly helpful staff, nice rooms and good selection of Spanish food. For us it was a perfect base for birding the extensive steppe areas around Oropesa. We loved the themed room, we stayed in Indonesia! Good easy parking just outside.

We were on a birdwatching holiday, so found the rural location of the house ideal, with many different species of birds to be seen in the vicinity. It was also a good base for visiting the Sierra Gredos. Candeleda is an attractive and interesting town. We recommend anyone staying here to have lunch or dinner at Casa Pepe in the main square of Candeleda. Good food and good value.

El Paso de las Cigüeñas is located in Candeleda and features a pool with a view and mountain views. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace.
