Spacious and clean room with a balcony, very helpful staff and good food (dinner and breakfast). We used the Turkish sauna, could not make the other one work. The pool seemed decent too but we didn't use it.

Darejan speaks English and is very welcoming, she gave me needle and thread for my broken backpack, cooked me a nice dinner and I got coffee and wine. Her husband showed their wine making place and let me taste different chacha's. The room had a big terrace and at night you could see the stars. It was very quiet and hitchhiking there and back was easy. Quite a walk to the big waterfall, but also there you can hitchhike.

Everything was just perfect. The hostess spoiled us with traditional meals. Even sent us away with fruit and nuts. She proudly showed us her farm animals. Wish we could stay longer.

One of the best hostel I've ever visited. The location is perfect and the environment super warm. There is a nice community of people volunteering and the food is absolutely wonderful, many vegetarian/vegan option, super tasty and creative. If I'll come back to George I'll visit again for sure.

One of the best guest house experiences I have had in Georgia! Room is lovely, clean and quiet. Shower is downstairs (hot water good pressure). Owners were super nice. Gave us tea and bread with cheese when we arrived in the evening. The house is surrounded by fruit trees of all kinds where they kindly offer you to go and pick what you want. The husband made us taste his homemade liquor which was really nice. Breakfast was nice salad, eggs, bread, tea or coffee, fruits), you can order the hachipouri (plenty of cheese) on top for 15gel. They also do their own salt !!! It’s super good. They even gave us to try a local fruit mix to heal coughing. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true local experience with very generous hosts.

Guest House Balda is wonderful and one of the reasons I come to Georgia. It is about genuine hospitality and a sense of family. The restaurant is superb and the bedroom was super comfortable. You can go horse riding and get advice about hiking. Just go there and enjoy being in Georgia!
