Beautiful property, very well designed with lots of green space and individual separated rooms for maximum privacy. Aesthetically pleasing design for rooms with well kept and clean interior. Location is superb as well, nice clean beach on the front and beautiful backwater lake on the back and is walking distance from mangroves canoe ride activity. Very serene and peaceful. The owner Prashanth is an amazing host and a great guy, gave us a free upgrade and went above and beyond in his hospitality. A great place to vacation.

The wellcoming from Sajeev and Vijayan was fantastic. We had access to all of the amenities in the house and they provided us with great advice to really enjoy our stay in Varkala. Sharing breakfast with them was great time to talk and learn a bit more about the place and ways to reach our next destination. The level of service was outstanding and they really cared for us during our stay in Madhav Mansion. We would highly recommend it! Very very nice place! Quiet , clean and confortable . The ménagers are very helpful and the surfing courses organised really good. There’s a little quiet beach just 5 min walking from the hotel.

Very beautiful garden and a really nice lake. Definitely worth a visit for travellers that want to relax for some time. The staff is extremely helpful and the cook is excellent. I recommend taking one of the free of charge kayaks for sundown.

Perfect place in Varkala. A bit away from the cliff but quiet and cozy. Nice beach is in 5-7 minutes by walk. We definitely liked it better then the cliff beach. Staff is friendly, homemade food is great (breakfast and lunch are possible). Pool was a great option for a child as well!

THE Place to stay in Varkala! For all Lovers of the beaches aside the tourist hustle & bustle in main Varkala -Cliff & Coral is your place to choose! It’s just 2mins walk away from the beautiful beach and the hostel is nestled in a garden with many trees which give you nice shade during the hot hours of the day! The Dorms are clean and each one has a private Terrace/ Veranda to hang out as well :) Ani & Nathan who are running the Hostel are very friendly, welcoming everyone with a smile and try everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible! I stayed about a week here meeting many friendly and relaxed people and would always love to come back when I’m in Kerala! Thank you!

Mostly Im lazy to write reviews, I only write if its good or too bad. Well in this case Sherly cottage is absolute wonderful stay. Very near to beach and gave a bit luxurious feel as well. The caretaker Dinesh ettan is a gem of a person who is always ready to go an extra mile to make the guests comfortable. The breakfast was also good. Thank you.
