Staff were very nice and kind. Appreciated that they tried to communicate their best with us, even though we didn't know Japanese. The property is nicely designed and well-maintained. Everything was very clean. Room was very spacious. Appreciated the humidifier in the room as the weather was a bit dry when we went. The air conditioner can automatically go from heating to cooling. Appreciated the chill-out area with free coffee / drinks at the ground floor. The area is near Nijo Castle. There are a number of train stations within walking distance. There is also a street full of cafes, bakeries, and other food stalls nearby--one of which is a Creme Brulee Donut place.

Everything about our stay was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived; the staff made us feel special and welcome. Attention to detail was unmatched. The design in the hotel created such a peaceful atmosphere - the lobby, the room and garden. We enjoyed the breakfast and lunch. Every meal we had was a unique culinary experience.
