Our three days at fishermen’s lodge were super special, we felt so welcome and included in their family. The food in the restaurant was really amazing, the host is a great cook, we loved especially her rice and curry and the grilled fish. The traditional breakfast was also really good! The room was really simple, but still very clean and the host was always ready to help us in any way. You just walk a few steps to the beautiful beach which is nearly empty! In the morning the host took us fishing one time, which was the most special and fun experience! Overall we really recommend coming here for an authentic and local experience with extraordinary people! Thank you for everything! We might come back one time :)

The room is nice & located in a very beautiful peaceful garden, which leads to the swimming pool & restaurant & finally to a gorgeous isolated beach. The staff is really friendly, helpful & give an excellent service, same for manager. Good spa & massage facilities & free yoga classes. The end of the stay is made very special by a romantic dinner, right on the beach, with candle light & in our case even full moon !

Best and first choice in Rekawa!Amazing new property, spacious rooms, bathroom, cozy terrace with super comfortable furniture. Great pool with a bar, good restaurant. Very nice host and overall the team, big thank you to everyone for our stay. Not many F&B options in the area, swimming in the ocean is not an option. But what you can a get is a beauty of nature, tranquility and full relax.

One of the best experiences in Sri lanka trip within 3 weeks. Amazing place, not only appartment but all Rekava. Definately one of the most underrated places in Sri lanka. If you are in doubts - you definately should go there. Peace, silence, nature, ocean, turtles, amazing people - this is Rekava. Lookout lodge is excelent accomodation - new house, all clean and comfy, perfect location near the beach and turtle watch center. Good restaurant nearby (reccomended by Chami). Excelent breakfast and peacefull conversations with owner. We felt like home there and all our wishes were fulfilled with smile. And - there is a pool now - we where the first users and it is great. Appriciated by our boys. Sorry that we booked just 2 nights there, would have liked to stay at least a couple more days. The drive to the property itself is an adventure, with scenic views and charming villages along the way. The Hobbit House is an architectural marvel designed to resemble the cosiness. The attention to detail is incredible – from the round doors and windows to the curved walls and rustic decor. We stayed in one of the Hobbit-style rooms, which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the room was equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning and a private bathroom, all while maintaining its magical, rustic charm. The meals at Iggabara Hobbit House were a highlight of my stay. The kitchen serves delicious, home-cooked Sri Lankan meals made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Dining on the terrace, surrounded by nature, was an unforgettable experience. The breakfast, which included traditional Sri Lankan hoppers, fresh fruit, and tea, was the perfect way to start the day. The hospitality at Iggabara Hobbit House was warm, genuine, and heartfelt. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and their kindness added to the magical atmosphere of the place. They were always available to help with anything we needed. At night, the property is lit up with fairy lights, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. 15 minutes by walk or 5 mins by Tuk Tuk, and you reach the Turtle beach and some local restaurants.

The best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka! Saman and his family were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Also, the dinner we had there was great and tasty. The location is very close to the sea and turtle station, area is very calm and relaxing. We could use Saman’s scooter for tour around the city and surroundings. We really enjoyed the night turtle watching tour organised by Saman. At first, we planned to stay just one night, but the place is so beautiful and cozy so that we decided to stay three nights! Would recommend staying here to our friends!

Perfect spot wish a wonderful location right in front of the beach and the lagune. Our room at the middle level in the main building had a great view and a cool breeze. There were kayaks (sit-on-top) to use in the lagune for free. At sunset you could see (a few hundred meters east) the tiny baby turtles being releasef from their nests and strugling to reach the sea. The staff were pleasent and very friendly.

Our one-night stay at this villa was truly enjoyable. The property is only about 100 meters from the beach, so it was easy to walk over and enjoy the sea breeze whenever we wanted. The villa itself is very spacious, nicely designed, and kept very clean. It offered a perfect mix of comfort and privacy. The large swimming pool was the highlight — sparkling clean, well-maintained, and big enough to really enjoy a proper swim, not just a quick dip. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the poolside, which made our stay even more special. What impressed us most was the peaceful atmosphere. The area is calm and quiet, away from crowds, yet still close enough to the beach and local surroundings. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Even though we only stayed one night, it felt like a refreshing getaway. This villa is perfect for both short and long stays, and we would definitely choose it again in the future.

The Property Owner Ravi and his Family ( Wife Chandima and the two daughters) are such a friendly caring Team. The property was top clean and comfortable. Location is super for relaxation with the Lake View. They serve grate fresh seafood in the restaurant. If need arise we will go again.
