We were so glad to find this place! A lot of room, a lot of comfort, and perfect hosts. The first night we decided to stay in for diner, and it was so good that the next two night, we ate there as well. Akka is a very good cook, Raj a very polite and helpful host. We had all we wanted and enjoyed it a lot. We had our driver take us to Kandy, because truth to be set, it is a bit away from the city. But because we wanted a bit of rest after the hushhush and rush in the traffic of Kandy, we were really glad to have our own villa, our privacy, and a warm welcome. We could do our laundry and had enough room to dry everything. Our best stay in Sri Lanka!

We had a wonderful stay, next time we stay a bit longer to enjoy all the fancy facilities of the property. Chaminda is a really lovely host, his communication is fantastic, sent lots of information before we checked in and was always on hand with help and recommendations from the moment we arrived in Sri Lanka, even helped organize taxis and restaurant recommendations before we even arrived in Kandy, we could not ask for more from a host. The villa is beautiful, with a green garden area with an open terrace and lounge. Among the facilities at this property are fully equipped kitchen facilities and guests can enjoy their own cooking free Wi-Fi throughout the property. If you are in Kandy and want a peaceful out of town stay, this villa is for you 👌

Ferndale’s philosophy is rooted in nature and respect for the ecosystem. It is a luxury hotel where sustainability and eco-friendliness take top priority. All food is locally and organically sourced, adding to the authenticity of the experience. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who shared his vision with great passion and pride, making us appreciate the concept even more. The retreat is located in the breathtaking Knuckles Mountain Range, near Kandy. The untouched nature makes it a perfect destination for stunning hikes, which are thoughtfully organized by the team. Along the trails, you can discover hidden waterfalls and encounter unique endemic wildlife. Lastly, we must highlight the outstanding service and incredible food. The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. The meals are amazing because of the freshness of the ingredients and the dedication put into every dish. Chamara and his family are an absolute delight to stay with. The rooms are new, very very clean and spacious. The location is in a beautiful and quiet place. Chamara is an incredibly nice human being and went to great lengths to make sure I'm comfortable.

Getting there by private car was a challenge, google maps is simply not accurate. Best way is to contact resort before. The team is outstanding, booked only a day before and they managed to make us feel at home. Will come back for sure
