By adding modern comfort is staying a blessing. No sounds at night, pitch dark. Birds in the morning. And village center less than five minutes away. All together: A very pleasant surprise!

Set in Mount Gambier and with Blue Lake reachable within 2 km, Mount Gambier Hotel offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The accommodation features room service, an ATM and luggage storage for guests. Checkin is at the bar, all went fine. There's a big parking lot you can use behind the hotel. There was a slight mishap with our room, which was however handled in a very professional way and immediately corrected. The room is quite large and rather new, with a big bathroom and ample space for our luggage. We enjoyed the restaurant downstairs with a nice choice of wines and there's also the possibility to order a breakfast in the morning. The location is right in the middle of downtown, perfect to walk around the city but the rooms are really quiet, even though the main road is just next to the hotel. Loved the town itself, there's a lot of history here, but also interesting geology in downtown and close by with the lakes. Worth a stop.

A stunning fire place to warm us up and the 2 bedroom apt was spacious n tastefully designed. Dinner was outstanding with most ingredients from their own garden, there was pre dinner drinks n finger food as well. Breakfast was a spread of amazing home made bread, spreads, veggies from garden and wholesome yummy eggs. The air is so fresh and the property is simply charming.

Situated in Littlehampton, in a historic building, 32 km from Big Rocking Horse, Tara Stables is a chalet with a garden and bar. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Fabulous property with plenty of space, all amenities you might need, including washer and a nice vinyl record player (!). But most of all we liked that this property had such a lot of character. I personally felt at home immediately. Nice furniture, books, TV and even a Leonard Cohen record for the vinyl player in the lounge area :-) Being greeted with a loaf of fresh bread and a hand written notice from the owners was the icing on the cake. Really outstanding! On top of it all, the place is pet friendly and allowed us to take our dog along.

It is located 27 km from Ayers House Museum and features private check-in and check-out. The holiday home has family rooms. Wonderful property, great amenities and location, just around the corner from the main street! Well thought out property everything was perfect split system in both bedrooms and living room, comfortable and welcoming. What we loved the most is that it's pet friendly, the whole family had the best holiday, thank you for providing such a great place!

The spacious apartment features 2 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchenette with an oven and a stovetop, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a shower. The accommodation is non-smoking. After a 13hr drive with a 5 year old and 2 dogs, this was truly welcome respite for the 2 nights we spent there. Cool in the midst of some significant heat, tidy and clean and with all the comforts we hoped for, it was a lovely refuge from which to acclimatise and explore before we headed further north.
