I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

We arrived late at night and were served kofta, rice, baked tomatoes and potatoes,and tahini, all served outside our bedroom. The staff can not do enough for you and the breakfast by the Nile was unforgettable.

Mohamed, the host, was incredibly welcoming, greeting us warmly even though we arrived late at night. He prepared packed breakfasts for our early 4:00 a.m. tour and arranged a taxi for us without any hassle. The facilities were excellent — clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. The whole village had a warmhearted, friendly atmosphere that made our experience even more special. I highly recommend staying here for a true taste of Nubian hospitality.

The place was well located in the more quiet Elephantine Island, right next to the boat (that costs 10 pounds) and close to restaurants run by other members of the family, which have delicious food.
