The cabin was cosy, clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds. Staff was great. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were very good. The dinner menu was limited to 3 starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts, which we understand because everything was home made and fresh.

It fit our family of four perfectly and had all we needed. We loved our stay here and would stay again.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Fljótsdalsgrund is a recently renovated guest house located in Valþjófsstaður, 7.9 km from Hengifoss. 42 km from Kirkjufoss, the guest house features a bar and a shared lounge. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The place is very clean with good view. The owner made an amazingly delicious lamb soup. We enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommend!
