Our hot tubs, which are included in the stay, are located outside, 300 meters from the guesthouse. Everything was excellent. The location was perfect for the northern lights, away from any light pollution, the room was clean, warm, spacious and with nice window view. The breakfast buffet was nice.

Set next to Hof turf church, this hotel offers an on-site restaurant and free WiFi. Skaftafell National Park is 15 minutes' drive away from the hotel. Cape of Ingolfshöfdi is 3 km away.

Rooms are brightly decorated at Hof 1 Hotel and have either shared or private bathrooms. Excellent option for 4 people to stay in one room. Extremely clean and well appointed. Our room have an attached courtyard to sit out in which would have been super cute if the weather and time had allowed. Showers were a great size and clean. Heated towel rack, radiators and hair dryer. Small mini fridge was handy. Restaurant food was ok and the buffet breakfast was plentiful. Best complimentary buffet we came across. Staff were friendly and accommodating and communication was excellent. I had messaged through booking site to reserve for dinner and the response was within minutes! Beds were comfortable and we had a great quiet sleep.

Each room at Árnanes comes with a terrace and blackout curtains for bright summer evenings. Some rooms have private entrance or a balcony. We had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!
