Staff were exceedingly helpful with need to divert travel plans d/t typhoon- the front desk gentleman went above and beyond to have our luggage transferred from our hotel in Osaka (where we had forwarded it before going to Kamakura) to a different hotel in Tokyo (where we had to divert to get flight home and avoid typhoon related issues at KIX). Location close to train station Breakfast is very fresh and made when ordered- Japanese and Western options available I did not use it but was told by other group members that the tub/onsen-like bath was very relaxing. Rooms are extraordinarily spacious

It feels very private and tucked away in the forest. Sitting on the balcony listening to the birds every morning is an amazing way to start the day. I’m convinced Jomyoji is the best place to stay in Kamakura. It’s much quieter than the central part right by the beach. It’s very peaceful in a small quiet neighbourhood with pretty gardens and little rivers running through it. At the same time it’s very close to the main attractions. There are very regular buses every few minutes so it’s easy to get wherever you want. Strolling around is also lovely as the neighbourhood is beautiful. The hosts have taken great care to make the space very beautiful and comfortable. The bedding is comfortable, there is every amenity you could think of and all the appliances are there (washing machine, stove, fridge, kettle etc). It’s like having a little apartment in Kamakura if your apartment is very nice. There is even drip coffee equipment and beans for your coffee in the morning which is a lovely touch! There is also a really nice bath and the space is very big! Such a great stay!
