There is always a Masai very attentive to checking our safety due to the presence of animals, his name is Moses and I thank him from the heart. The staff and the food were excellent, the rooms and tents beautiful, the cleanliness impeccable. The two owners are exquisite people, Abdul assisted me from home a lot, but he was not present at the time of my stay, he had warned me there was the other owner who was an excellent host! I hurt myself during a safari and he helped me immediately by giving me an ointment against the pain that he also gave me and providing information on the closest clinic to my drivers. He is a National Geographic photographer and the reseption is a jewel full of his wonderful photos. This place is spectacular for where it is located, it is like sleeping inside the park, for the excellent work that the owners and staff do every day (including the Masai), and it has very honest prices. For the location and the place they could be very expensive and instead with their honesty in the prices they also allow less wealthy people to enjoy that atmosphere that my group and I will never forget. I conclude by adding a value, nothing artificial, nothing that clashes with the environment, there are places with a truly luxurious pomp that are not in line with the Savannah and the location, they take away all the magic, the Talek No, is a wonderful ecolodge, where the love and respect for animals can also be read in the signs hanging on the wall: Do you love animals? The view was breathtaking, and the tent was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up. Special thanks to Chef Allan for the delicious meals, and to Lucia and Steve who were always so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Our game drives were unforgettable with Ken, an excellent driver who made sure we saw the Big 5! In Nairobi, John was also a great driver who took care of us very well. One of the highlights of our trip was the nature walk with Dickson – he was such a knowledgeable and engaging guide, making it an incredible experience. A huge thank you to NJ, a very patient owner who always responded to all my queries, and to Nick, who went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort, even checking in with us on our way home. Everything was so wonderful that we ended up extending our stay. We highly recommend Mara Hilltop Camp to anyone visiting the Masai Mara – you will not be disappointed!

Super location with tents spaced out between private winding paths on a hill with a view. Dining area with fireplace and washroom. Tents with washroom also. Great dinner was an added bonus. This was super for a group of work colleagues visiting the park.

Die Unterkunft Narasha Homestay - Maasai Mara, die in Talek gelegen ist, verfügt über einen Garten, eine Gemeinschaftslounge, eine Terrasse und kostenloses WLAN. Eine fantastische Lodge mit unglaublich netter Host und super Koch. Perfekte Lage für Ausflüge in die Mara! Ruhig und entfernt vom allgemeinen Talek-Trubel. Bis zum Gate sind es ca 30 Minuten mit dem Landcruiser. Rundum eine Empfehlung für alle die in die Mara reisen wollen. Die Zuwegung nach Talek ist mittlerweile gut. Vor so ca. 4 Jahren wurde eine Brücke gebaut, so dass keine Bachdurchquerung mehr erforderlich ist. Einen 4x4 würden wir auf der teils noch nicht asphaltierten Straße aber dringend anraten. Die Gastgeberin hat uns am ersten Tag mit einem tollen Lunch begrüßt und fortan haben drei Tage lang nur leckere Sachen gekocht bekommen. Die Zimmer sind hell und groß genug. Die Betten bequem mit Moskitonetz. Das Bad sauber und mit warmen Wasser (man muss länger laufen lassen).

The accommodation was both comfortable and authentic, blending rustic charm with all the amenities one could hope for in a luxury safari camp. In short, Drunken Elephant Mara delivered an unforgettable slice of wilderness wrapped in comfort and care. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an adventurous yet refined escape.

I it’s close to the Maasai Mara Reserve and Jacob is more than willing to tell you what activities can be done in the area and even want to accompany you to them. Bad haben wir auf "Sitz-Safaris" jede Menge Tiere beobachten können, wie ein Krokodil, Giraffen, Zebras, Impalas, Warzenschweine u. abends tgl. Hyänen! Camp-Ufer wird nachts überwacht u. mit Lampen ausgeleuchtet und nahe Hippos grunzen einen in den Schlaf.. Personal ist sehr bemüht u. thx Roonie u. Team für freundliche Aufmerksamkeit und Informationen zur Fauna! Perfekt organisiert wurden die Safaris. Auch vor Sonnenaufgang ab 06 Uhr ganztags für bis 12 Std., inkl. üppig sortierten Breakfast- und Lunchpaketen, die auf malerischen Plätzen in den Weiten der Mara, oder an Flussufer mit Sicht auf Hippos gespeist wurden. Wer als Fahrer-Guide den engagierten coolen Maasai Leshan bekommt, mit robust geländegängigen eh. Militär-Allradjeep hat Glück und danke ihm für seine akribisch geplanten 3 Safaris in Gegenden wo kaum mehr andere hinfahren!
