Uns wurde unkompliziert ein sehr preiswerter Transport zum Nationalpark Horton Plains organisiert und das in der Nähe gelegene Lokal bietet Backpackerflair.

The photos do not do this justice. The place is stunning and the views are incredible. The host was so attentive! We were welcomed with drinks and the breakfast was huge and delicious. The place is clean, beautiful and safe. Highly recommend!

Die Cabin ist sehr geräumig und perfekt für eine Familie. Es war perfekt sauber. Die Lage ist auch perfekt und die Familie hat gute Tipps oder brachte uns zu erwünschten Orten. Der Blick ins Tal, vor allem abends ist traumhaft. Hinterm Haus ist ein traumhafter Wasserfall. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit dort.

Die Unterkunft Shan Hotel, die in Nallathanniya, 300 m von Berg Adam's Peak entfernt gelegen ist, hat einen Garten, eine Terrasse und ein Restaurant. Sehr sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Tolle einfache Unterkunft, direkt beim beginn vom Adam's peek. Somit super lage, diesen morgens früh zu beschreiten. Liebevolles Familienbuisness. Wir wurden fein bekocht und sie versuchten alles um unser Aufenthalt unvergesslich zu machen.

I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

We had an amazing experience staying at Barnes Cottage in Nuwara Eliya. The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, just a short distance from Lovers Leap Waterfall and around 8–10 minutes from Nuwara Eliya town. Horton Plains was also conveniently nearby, which made our hiking plans easy. The host was incredibly caring and friendly—we felt truly looked after throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and came with a lovely wooden fireplace that added such a cozy touch, especially during the cold weather. A special thanks to the host for going above and beyond when my girlfriend twisted her leg while hiking in Horton Plains. It was raining heavily and freezing cold that day, and the host kindly helped us by lighting up the fireplace and making the room warm and comfortable for her to rest and recover. That level of care meant a lot to us. Overall, I would highly recommend Barnes Cottage to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. The hospitality, location, and comfort make it a place worth returning to!

Great place! Very friendly and helpful staff! The manager and the Chef became our assistants and friends for all the days of our stay. The chef prepares delicious and varied food. They always ask you what you want to eat and they can cook anything. Very clean rooms, beautiful architecture of the building (inside and outside). Just a great view from the window! The view opens onto the mountains and tea plantations, and the loggia has a comfortable place to relax with a table, chairs and swings. The rooms are very spacious! There is a sauna (steam bath), after hiking in the mountains, that's it! The staff is very caring, friendly and helpful. We stayed here to make it easier to get to Adam's Peak. The staff made us sandwiches and coffee for the trip, and they were always in touch with us. There's also a cool karaoke music system, and one of the guys found us a guitar and we sang together! There are also board games. We recommend it to everyone!

The caretakers were polite and took very good care of us. It is very comfortable whether you travel with a large group of friends or families. They also had a TV/reading room in addition to 4 bed rooms. The drawing/dining space can accomodate nearly 12 to 15 adults at a time.
