The atmosphere is peaceful, and the hosts are warm and welcoming, always ready to help or share insights about the area. One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the cooking class with Chef Janith. He is not only a talented chef but also a wonderful teacher. With great patience and passion, he guided us through each step of preparing a traditional Sri Lankan meal, sharing stories, tips, and local knowledge along the way. The setup was perfect, and the food we created was absolutely delicious. I left Kandy Living not just with amazing memories, but with new cooking skills, a deeper appreciation for Sri Lankan culture, and the feeling of having been truly cared for. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy — it’s more than just a stay; it’s a full, heartfelt experience.

We had the best stay at Chariot Square. The staff was welcoming and kind. The breakfast was delicious, the accommodations were great and the hotel had an amazing view. Our stay was made extra special by Rathna who took us on a Tea Tuk Tuk tour that was a highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ruhige Lage und dank des Ventilators haben wir die Klimaanlage nicht vermisst.

I had the best stay here! The family was extremely warm and helpful, and both brothers went out of their way to assist with travel arrangements, which made everything so much easier. The villa itself is beautiful, with a charming vintage character and very spacious rooms. It truly felt like home away from home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

Suneth was amazing, he is always ready to help, as soon as I arrived, he welcomed me with passion fruit juice, it was very refreshing. Even though, I stayed for one night, he gave me a detailed map of Kandy, places I can explore within a day. My stay was amazing and I had a great time in kandy, will visit this stay again.

We were so glad to find this place! A lot of room, a lot of comfort, and perfect hosts. The first night we decided to stay in for diner, and it was so good that the next two night, we ate there as well. Akka is a very good cook, Raj a very polite and helpful host. We had all we wanted and enjoyed it a lot. We had our driver take us to Kandy, because truth to be set, it is a bit away from the city. But because we wanted a bit of rest after the hushhush and rush in the traffic of Kandy, we were really glad to have our own villa, our privacy, and a warm welcome. We could do our laundry and had enough room to dry everything. Our best stay in Sri Lanka!

This is a hidden gem in the mountains of Kandy, away from traffic and noise of the downtown. I was so happy that we stayed there. First and most important is the manager Maxi, a generous and kind man who helped us with everything and we were surrounded by care for the whole visit (short unfortunately). The room itself is huge, we had 1 big living room with king bed and another small room with queen bed with bathroom. Very good shower with constant well pressure of hot water. The balcony is lovely with spectacular view to the hills and local houses. Breakfast was on the open terrace and very tasty with fresh juices and nicely cooked eggs. Once in Kandy I definitely come back to the place as it is well maintained and the management is really taking care of the guests.
