This is one of my most favourite places in all of Mexico! It was a beautiful little paradise - a private unit with a beautiful patio / garden and the kindest and most helpful hosts! Breakfast was incredible (home cooked!!), location was the best you could ask for, and the unit was just perfect - so well decorated and designed. My wonderful hosts were so kind and welcoming and very knowledgable. I felt so looked after and couldn’t recommend this place enough! I did a horse riding trip with Maurice (the hosts have his contact details) and it was just me and him in the mountains. He is one of the kindest, calmest and most respectful Mexican men I have met. I highly recommend contacting him if you want a tour or a horse riding trip.

The service was above and beyond the ordinary. The owner and her family were very kind and outgoing. The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable. Low water pressure but plenty of hot water. The hotel itself was beautiful inside. I believe it has maybe 8 rooms for occupation, all on the 2nd floor. A nice 2nd floor patio to enjoy meals or whatnot. The area for use on the main floor is spacious with a few tables to enjoy a lite breakfast. Parking is very secure within a large garage. Lots of parking space. The owner shared the history of the building with me... it was her grandmother's home which they turned into a hotel. I believe the home was written about in Mexican poetry. I was shown the book of poetry. The owner and her husband went above and beyond to make sure all my needs where met, including securing raw goat's milk for me and setting my GPS with a good fuel station to fuel up my vehicle on my way to my next destination. I tried booking a room at a hotel close to the highway for the night but had to book 3 nights, so I looked for another spot. I'm glad I didn't get a room by the highway as this place is a hidden gem. I will definitely be staying there again in the spring on my back home. Wonderful experience, wonderful people :)
