A phenomenal stay at Atana Bidiyah private camp. Jassim and his crew know hospitality and will make your private desert stay a wonderful experience. You may believe this to be a once in a lifetime experience, but my heart is set on returning to the desert, to Bidiyah, and to Oman. The camp is the furthest one in the desert so we were very far from the town of Bidiyah and it’s light pollution- far enough away to see the beautiful night sky be-speckled with stars. The tent is well designed and faces east to capture the most beautiful sunrise you’ll ever see over the desert sand dunes. No match for what you’ll see on Dune or Tatooine. There were just a few tents at this camp making for a very private setting, with just a few friendly neighbors. The base of the camp is where we had meals. They prepared great dishes (buffet), and had vegetarian options too. After dinner, we sat outside with the few people at the camp and had some tea and conversation. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and sometimes there’s a fire at night. The camp also boasts eco tourism using solar cells and limits the use of plastics. It was very quiet (except for the winds). There’s a fully functioning open air, private, outdoor bathroom attached to our tent where you can shower under the stars. Keep in mind that you’ll be covered in a thin layer of sand and sometimes it gets very windy so some eye protection would’ve come in handy. Lastly, I highly recommend meeting the crew at the meeting point in Bidiyah and having them drive on the desert sand. Jassim picked us up, had great communication, and simply the most hospitable and nicest person you’ll ever meet. He stopped so we could say hi to the camels, take a few photos, and had a few laughs.

Beautiful Wahiba Sands desert camp with private rooms. Whilst we could chat to all guests in the open common spaces, we also had our own space and did not feel on top of other visitors to the camp. Saeed and his team of dune drivers and kitchen staff were absolutely delightful with tasty food for both dinner and breakfast. Would recommend & stay again :) We watched both sunset and sunrise over the beautiful Omani desert.

The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

Staying at Desert Diamond Private camp was one of the best experiences I had in Oman. The camp is private and peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was delicious and varied — I especially enjoyed the camel meat at dinner. Breakfast on the soft desert sand was unforgettable. The room and bathroom were both beautifully decorated and very clean. The stargazing trip was a magical experience that added a special touch to the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert escape.

Grounds and room are just beautiful. one of the best we had in Oman. This place doesnt have enough reviews. Pool, rooms, grounds? Fantastic. But the host is the best. Very honest. You’re just down the road from wadi tiwi. You’ll need 4x4 to get to it. We didnt have this on our to do list but they told us we should go and they mentioned a guide. We drove up and got picked up suddenly by a local guide. Next thing we know we’re carving our way down a hill through gardens and trees holding onto guide chains, and scrambling down walls. Then we get the most beautiful wadi and a leisurely swim through the pools with almost no one around. Just us, our guide, and another passing group of 3. We end up having to do some rick climbing out which was wild but we could have gone the way we came. Our guide had us the whole way. Pop up at the parking lot where ALL of the other tourist are and have no idea what we’ve seen. We paid the man 25 rial and it was worth every penny. The nomad Inn made this happen. Absolutely amazing day. Top travel moment of our lives. Book this inn. You wont regret it.

It's only us who been in camp, so we felt special. We ordered shuttle service (it's expensive given the fact that distance is small), dune bashing - it was really cool!, camel sunset ride (I agree with all reviewers that price is high for such activity) but we really loved it! Dinner was exceptional! bad is comfy and nice! Salim was our driver and we enjoyed his company (his english can be better though)

Die Unterkunft Arab desert camp, die in Al Raka gelegen ist, bietet Bergblick sowie kostenloses WLAN. We really enjoyed our experience staying in the desert. We had beautiful sunset and sunrise. We booked the dinner and breakfast which was delicious. Badr was great, he picked us up from the carpark and dropped us off to our car the next day. On the way he showed us the camels and a Bedouin camp nearby. Him and the other staff also spend time with everyone around the bonfire telling us stories about life in the desert and singing songs. The tents and bathrooms are basic but the bed is comfortable and it feels like an authentic experience. We would visit again and would like to express our gratitude to Badr for making this a great experience for us.
