The rooms are cozy and clean, the restaurant has a menu changing every day. I recommend you try the grilled prawns and the calamari soup! Also the cocktails were perfectly balanced. 10/10

Lovely pool, thoughtful amenities in the room and all around the hotel (beach towels for the lounge chairs, after sun, games and books etc.) and wonderful food. As two girls traveling alone we felt completely safe throughout our stay. While this in itself already would have made for a wonderful holiday, the owner was so kind to us and so well organized - at the drop of a hat he was able to organize kite surfing and snorkeling adventures with trustworthy locals! Of course it is off-season and in busy times in high-season this might not always be possible, but after having stayed at a different hotel a few days prior, I’m confident to say the staff at ZanziSoul are all standout workers going the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome and at home. This was a truly wonderful experience and we hope to be back soon!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at African Bungalows in Nungwi, Zanzibar. This cozy gem exceeded all my expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious, every meal was a treat! The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a lovely pool. And the hotel is just a one minute walk to the stunning beach. The rooms are clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfortable, I had the best sleep in a long time. Another standout feature is the generator so you never have to worry about power interruptions. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for relaxation with excellent food and service in Zanzibar, I highly recommend African Bungalows. I’ll definitely come back!

The spacious room. The swimming pool. As there were low occupancy it was kind of private pool. The food was fantastic. The property has spacious area to walk and relax. Sleeping net on top of the sea is a unique option. It has lot of toys to play and reading area for readers. There is a spa. I didnt try. You can walk around the beach in the morning & low tide times. Hig tide times you can enjoy the breeze. I tried breakfast only one day and it was good with basic healthy spread with good taste. Overall it was a pleasant stay and very good for relaxation. Will i repeat. Yes for sure for relaxing and possibly stay near stone town or Nungwei for activities.
