Everything was great! To be honest, it felt more like a homestay (in a good way) because the staff was so welcoming and helpful! Some of them only speak Chinese but Melody speaks English fluently, so I never had any issues because of the language barrier. She organized all my transfers and even told the driver to help me find my boat. I had the room on the top floor and I would definitely recommend staying there. It's a bit higher than the other buildings, so I felt comfortable leaving my panoramic windows open to enjoy the view. Btw, the room looked the same as in the pictures, so I didn't have to adjust my expectations to reality. There was a lot of natural light and I really liked the design - some traditional Chinese elements with a modern twist. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was soft (if you live in China you know why I needed to mention that). I could only have their proper breakfast once because I would leave too early, but that one time their noodles were top-notch. And on the days when I couldn't have breakfast they would always prepare something I could take with me and it was delicious, too. I especially appreciated that there were always some fruits. Lastly, I'd like to mention the massage you can get there. From what I understood it's the same price everywhere because I saw the exact same paper with all the types of massage at a different hotel. I got the oil massage and I cannot recommend it enough. Overall, the people the hotel works with are great, too.

The staff at Guilin HeShe Lakeside Resort are beyond phenomenal. Melody and her team assisted my grandparents as if they were family. Besides the most amazing staff team, the surrounding views and scenery in this area is breathtaking, the rooms are just as seen on photos, and the room views are one of a kind. Melody and her team provided not only a place for my grandparents to stay, but a lasting memory of Guilin and the people you can potentially meet along your travels. Everything was perfect, the room is warm and big enough, the bed is soo comfortable, the location is a small old village very nice athomsphere. But the best is Xiao Ming who is a fantastic host and arranged everything we needed anytime he was available and gave us his support! Dont be affraid of the distance from center its easy to get transport and get to the city.

What a delight! We are midday way through a 14 day holiday. The free clothes washing facilities of level 8 were a life saver! The staff are brilliant - all speak English and very helpful. The beds were very very comfortable. The whole stay was just great. Cracking location too. Jenny was a highlight! She is the best. We connected weeks before via WeChat and as he helped me plan other parts of my holiday. We LOVE Jenny!

Michelle and her staff went above and beyond to make our stay one of the best we experienced during our 3 weeks across China. They booked trips, took us to get tickets, got medicine delivered and held our luggage overnight when we stayed in a nearby town for one night. The room is lovely and the newly opened restaurant's food is delicious. Location is stunningly beautiful and it is in walking distance to the reed flute cave. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Th location is perfect, right next to the lakes. We had a massage there that was nice and cheap (expect it on the harder side). They organized all the drivers for us and also the Li River Cruise. Very satisfied, thank you!

Staff is incredible, very helpful and provided great tips. Rooms are even bigger than expected and quite clean. Simple but great cost-benefit. Location is great as well, walkable distance from main sites but a bit away from the crowd. The tour they arrange to the rice terraces is also good and, in our view, better than the options provided by GYG or Viator.

- staff speaks amazing English and are really helpful for travel or eating recommendations around Guilin - location is great, some min walk from central train station, around 15min taxi ride to north station… you can also walk to elephant hill scenic spot, the pagodas around etc. - comfortable and clean beds - there are tours to the rice terraces/ Yangshuo… organized in the hostel

I liked pretty much everything about it. Fantastic staff, truly! Loved them all. They speak perfect English and gave me the best assistance I could possibly ask for during my stay, includingthe booking of tours. Location is very convenient, very close to one of the train stations and in a short walk to Guilin's main attractions. Finally, the room was very confy with fantastic beds and showers! Totally recommended!!!

Location is amazing! Hotel staff speak English. Good quality breakfast. The hotel organised Li River cruise tour for us which although was slightly pricy but was very well organised and definitely worth it. Swimming pool and its view was fantastic.

We always stay in this hotel when we go back to Guilin visiting family. 3 of us stay in a family suite comfortably with amble space. The location is fantastic, it is right in the old centre of Guilin. The staff are very professional and friendly. It would be the first choice for many visitors.

Location was good, walking distance to scenic places, e.g. elephant trunk, pier for for boat rides and pedestrian street. We booked the room facing the lake, beautiful views at sunrise and sunset. Coffee at breakfast can be better. I remember the porridge and noodles were good.
