The location of this place is EPIC! Stunning views being secluded in the hills in Santa Elena! Where do I start with the food?? Wow! It’s brought up the hill daily fresh from a farm below then prepared on site! Super fresh and delicious! You are in for a real treat with the food! Chris is awesome!

From arrival to departure, everything to perfection. The owners are very nice and make sure you have everything you need. The food in the evening and the breakfast were both very good. The lodges themselves are stunning and very clean with an amazing view. I would recommend this place to everyone, its amazing. Wish I stayed longer. Note: if you go by car, don’t trust google maps, it will guide you offroad. Its nice but you need both an adventurous mindset and an 4x4, don’t try it without both of them or you might run into trouble (e.g. get stuck). There is a proper road towards the lodges which is fine, look at the instructions the owners send you or ask them.

We had a fantastic time at this place. The place is tucked away from the main road in a very peaceful setting. The hosts built a little paradise hidden away. But most and foremost the hosts are amazing, they are some of the warmest and nicest people we have ever met and the hospitality was amazing. Rancho Humo is amazing. The staff was fantastic, especially Kenneth, our host and guide. The food was delicious and abundant - great chef! The wildlife was wonderful and Kenneth's knowledge about it was so helpful. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We will come back and highly recommend Rancho Humo. It is such a peaceful place.
