Excellent location right in the centre. Easy to park on adjoining street. Restaurants and Champagne houses within walking distance. 5-10 minute walk to train station for getting to Epernay and Reims. Bakery opposite, great café next door (that serves Champagne too).

We loved the location which was quiet but just a short walk from several restaurants and supermarkets. The accommodation lovely and cool during the hot weather and it was very clean also. Well equipped. Our host responsive to our requests with quick responses which was appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ryan and Agnes. The house and rooms are very beautiful with thoughtful touches throughout to make an extremely comfortable stay for guests. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts (great tea😁) and an excellent 5 course evening meal on our first day. The helpful advice from Ryan & Agnes about the local area, Champagne houses and where to cycle etc ensured that we made the most of our time in Ay. Would definitely recommend.

Where do I start? Location The property is located in the very centre of Ay, as the name would suggest, and it would be difficult to find anywhere more central or easily accessible. Parking is free and safe, and only a couple of paces from the property, making it ideal for carrying bags of shopping (we’ll get to that part), or exploring the region’s vineyards by car. The train station is only a leisurely ten minute walk away, too, with a regular service to both Reims and Epernay There’s a boulangerie just across the square that never seems to close, where you can buy the best fresh bread (I’d recommend it with the apricot jam), and they make some very tasty pastries for breakfast. There’s also a small convenience store a couple of shops down, and a champagne boutique and bar in the square. Property The apartment couldn’t be better. Very well maintained, well decorated, very clean, and it has all of the features you would need to be very comfortable for even the longest stay. It’s obvious that a lot of effort and care has gone into making it a home away from home. Despite the central location, it’s very quiet, and remarkably peaceful. Even in late February, I was able to sit in the sun streaming in through the windows and enjoy reading without distraction. Things to do If you’re travelling to Ay, there’s a good chance that you have a taste for the bubbles, and with 35 champagne houses, including some very big and very old names in the business, all within a few minutes walk of the property, you’re in for a treat! Plenty of shopping and tasting opportunities, and I’d recommend the local Ratafia Champenois if you haven’t tried it. There’s a ‘champagne trail’ around the local area, if you fancy a drive, which will take you through the picturesque villages and beautiful rolling hills of endless vineyards. It’s worth the drive just to take in what the area is and does.

Great location in Aÿ with a super responsive and kind host. The studio is quite small but it has absolutely everything needed to be independent. Separate kitchen and bathroom. Very well equipped, small but fully functional well kitted out kitchen, great bed and bedding. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. WiFi works well. Apartment is beautifully presented. A rustic interior courtyard available to sit and enjoy the sun or work at the table provided. Excellent security. Highly recommended.
