The Hosts were so passionate about cleanliness, service, presentation, and meals. They provided a top-notch stay and made sure you had everything you needed. There is no shortage of anything. Meals were home cooked tasty meals and certainly not minimal on size. You can tell Sarah and David take great pride in what they offer and make everyone feel welcome. My husband is still raving about the egg and bacon sandwich, says it was the best he had in over 30 years if ever. I am a little jealous I didn't get one. Outstanding, 11 out of 10 !!!

Lovely place, cosy and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, staff super helpful and chatty. Had dinner both nights and everything was amazing. Room was warm and the beds were super comfortable. Location was perfect as a base to explore the area, would definitely come back :)

Quiet and secluded. Beautifully appointed and spotless. Owner very nice and friendly. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. Lovely touches like tea and coffee and other little things left over to use. Just brilliant all round and the friendliest dogs you can imagine.

I didn't served breakfast in location. I liked that it is a quiet area. You have to do something with the building exterior, as it looks like an abandoned building. Onestly, If I saw the building first, I didn't choose it. Over all, it is a quiet place.

The location was perfect, in an area surrounded by nature, very peaceful and tranquil. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, USB ports in the bedroom, a "proper" coffee machine, not dried instant coffee. The food was freshly prepared, evening meal and breakfast. Would I go back there, of course without a shadow of doubt. One of the best places that I've stayed in.

Perfect location on Coldstream’s historic town. Ample car parking directly outside, or beside the bus stops for Berwick, Kelso etc. Beautiful parks within walking distance. I’ve been staying at The Castle for over a decade, and am absolutely delighted that the new owners are putting care and passion back into the place after years of neglect.

Main door to property has digital lock with code to unlock (sent to me by owner via email and text beforehand). Door to room has mechanical lock with code to unlock (also sent to me beforehand). Both very easy to enter. Free car parking alongside property. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided. Family room as expected. Great location for visiting other border towns. Very good value for money.

The location was good, the staff were helpful and friendly. I checked in late, and they rang to check i was still coming, which was nice. The room was quite basic, but was spotless, the bed was comfy, and I wasn’t planning on spending the day in there. Breakfast was good. I was happy with my stay.
