Very warm welcome from hosts, and lovely unique bedroom and bathroom. Use of a fantastic sitting room that looked onto Wooler High Street, for making teas and coffees and for good breakfast which was cooked to order. Cosy, friendly and welcoming; would definitely stay here again.

A beautifully maintained cottage , clean, tidy, and furnished to a very high standard, I cannot see anyone finding fault or writing anything negative about this lovely property and with such amazing views and lovely touches, especially the 'bee' theme throughout. A real home from home feeling and with everything you could wish for..all the ingredients for a lovely holiday. We will definitely return and recommend this property to friends and family, Superb!!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this self check in hotel but everything worked fine. Although no staff available, the owner kept in touch to ensure I was ok. Big, clean room, bathroom and bed, facilities for cooking, etc. And great location

House had real character. It had everything we needed. Was easy to heat, cosy warm. Nice spacious well lit and well equipped kitchen. Narrow stairs to bedroom which might be issue if you're not very mobile. Doddingtons Milk Bar next door did great hot chocolate and cakes. Highly recommend. We'd happily go back to cottage. Great stay.

Magpie cottage is a beautiful cosy home from home, a perfect place to relax and recharge. The Farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, far beyond the basics you'd expect in a holiday let. The lounge is cosy and comfortable with a beautiful log burner fireplace. The whole place was spotless and the various ornaments and pictures added to the homely decor. There was a great selection of Dvds books and games to use during our stay and everything you could imagine needing during your holiday including an iron and ironing board, clothes airer, vacuum cleaner, high chair and much more. The hosts were accommodating and messaged us to check on us during our stay. The cottage is set in a lovely location and a good base for exploring beautiful Northumberland. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommend

The location was excellent. Easy walk to pubs and food store. Loved the breakfast bar over looking the street. We were also able to wash and dry our cloths in the machines provided down stairs.

Really good sized room overlooking the high street. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was done out nicely. We appreciated having the small kitchen area with fridge and coffee machine. Also, the toiletries were lovely. Access by door code was super efficient. Great location for exploring the area, and a number of bars and restaurants nearby.

Easy access and near the town so very convenient plus a free carpark and plenty of opportunity to use all the facilities to hand such as pubs, shops and food take away. Plenty of room in the accommodation & we liked the use of a fridge and hot beverages. Decent tv to watch the Olympic Games at night and morning Quiet location even though we were so close to and amenities. We liked the use of plates and cutlery, roomy wardrobe, seating area and sound bathroom Good lighting in the accommodation. 😄

A great traditional inn, perfect location in the middle of Wooler. A lovely room with beautiful view across the countryside, the breakfast was excellent- really good value for money. The star quality must go to the staff though, who went the extra mile to make sure we had a perfect stay.

We (2A & 5yo) stayed in the Duke room for 2 nights. Check-in was a breeze with excellent pre arrival guidance from Stephanie. The room was spotless, well furnished and in a fantastic location just off the high street. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable. The room is an accessible one and had a massive wet room with an amazing shower. We’ll definitely be back if we’re ever back in Wooler.

We enjoyed our full English and toast etc. We had a little walk after breakfast, up the lovely street and to some shops before checking out. The hotel is at a great location.

Perfect location in town. We love the area and this is a great base. Lots of details were appreciated. Things like the can opener, the hairdryer, the full size fridge. Had a lovely bathroom and the overall space is great. Bed is very comfy. Really appreciated the use of washer and dryer!!
