A short but beautiful stay in Ruteng! Nina and Faldi are great hosts, welcoming, helpful and friendly. We felt so lucky to witness a traditional ceremony with them! They are now renovating/expanding the homestay and offer different tours and activities. Thanks and good luck!

Jeff is a great host. He treated us wonderfully and is very attentive, always giving great advice and helping out with whatever you need. The sunrise tour is a must! The location of the homestay, a little away from Ruteng, is very quiet and surrounded by rice paddies.

Lovely family owned property! The family is so sweet and helpful and will go above and beyond to help you. We only stayed one night, but they offered us their family bike to use for free and we also had food here for dinner. Big portion and good price. They gave us tea and some snacks on arrival. Breakfast was also filling and varied. The room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable- the best sleep we have had in Flores! They gave us an extra duvet as it can get cold in the night which was very thoughtful. There is a tiny shop across the road which you can get some snacks in. Highly recommend staying if you are in Ruteng.

We stayed two nights with Peter and his family and we miss it already! It was the best homestay we stayed at in Flores!! We felt soo welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. The room was nice and Had everything we needed. We joined a wedding and a ceremony which was soo nice to experience! We also had a walk to the ricefields. We really enjoyed the area as its in a quiet area of ruteng. We can highly recommend staying here and we will be back for sure. Thanks for everything:)

Very friendly couple who run the home stay, minimal English but we managed well through google translate. They were also very helpful in sorting out transport for us from Ruteng to Bajawa. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Tersedia, Flavi and Andrea are a lovely family! We felt right at home, they invited us to take part of their daily life. We talked a lot and about very interesting subjects, we laughed, we ate together, we played card games with Andrea... We loved it so much that we decided to stay one more night and we would have stayed even more if we had the time! They host a school for children and teach after-school math & english, and they are very happy to let you take part to it. Thank you so much!

The beautiful views across the valley. The perfect location to relax with a cup of tea. Also the paw paw out of the garden for breakfast was delicious. The family really treat you as one of their own and are very welcoming. When I return to Ruteng I’ll definitely stay here again

We stayed 2 nights in Wisma Po'ong and we loved it ! The room is clean and quiet big, the place is very peaceful, outside of city center. But the best about Wisma Po'ong is the hosts ! Carolina and Peter made us feel at home all our stay long, they helped us renting a scooter, picked us up at the bus station, invited us to a very cool open mic outdoor concert... We really enjoyed Ruteng and its good vibes. We warmly recomend to stay in this homestay, hold by wonderful people !

Jeff and his family were very welcoming. The location is fabulous with amazing views of the rice fields from his home. He also does a sunrise walk which offers amazing views of the rice fields. The food that his wife cooks is excellent.

The location in a rural setting, out of town was lovely and relaxing with good views (especially sunrise). It was convenient for us because we had a car and driver (but the owners can also provide transport if required to local tourist sites etc). The home cooked vegetarian food was very tasty, the room was large and clean and the bathroom had great water pressure and hot water. The family was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.

We had a really enjoyable stay in Sun Rice Homestay. Jeff was an excellent host and spent time teaching us about local customs and traditions. The location was beautiful for the sun rise hike. The breakfast was delicious!

I had a lovely stay at this home stay. Extremely clean, comfortable bed. Indonesian breakfast included. I was there during Easter and they didn’t let me pay for all the meals I had with the family. Position is good, right next to a Gunung mas office for booking buses. You can rent bikes from there as well. Makasi Ayu!

Stayed a night after a rainy ride from Labuan Bajo. Really lovely hosts, amazing location not to far from the Hobbit Cave and right in the beautiful rice fields. Food is also great, loved it.

Very good place to stay in Ruteng and visit around. Located quite central in the city next to good restaurants and The homestay is very clean, rooms are spacious and nices with wooden floors, bathrooms with hot water are appreciated, not always the case in Flores. The staff is also very nice and helpful. Highly recommended

Linda and her husband are really nice and friendly hosts, we felt very welcomed!! The place is super clean, the bed is comfortable and they will serve you a tasty breakfast. Good location, not far from the local market. We came back during our roundtrip in Flores :)

Very friendly and helpful owners that are always down for a chat and ready to help whenever you need something. The restaurant on site (which also serves the included breakfast) is cheap and tasty. Everything was super clean and there is a nice outside area to chill and meet other travelers. Location next to bus-station which is really convenient:) Thank you for your hospitality:)

Top notch hostel! The staff were very friendly and the host was a great character! The food there was also very nice and of great value. Jovan (the host), even woke up at 4am to ensure I was awake to leave that morning. Lovely stay! Most certainly recommend!

The room was spacious. Staff were quick to respond to any requests, for example to mop the floor or to provide a rack for drying clothes. The hotel has large concrete buildings with interesting architecture and interior design features in a 20th century modernist style. The location on the main road is convenient for getting the bus to or from Bajawa.

The family is so lovely, I felt like at home. They always had something for me to taste, like a cake, some typical food or arak - The location is very convenient, not far from a supermarket, ATM and just next to Gunung Mas office if you need to take the bus to go to other cities of Florès - The food was very good and they have their own restaurant
