Places to Stay in Cappoquin

The hosts, including the dogs, are fantastic and do everything they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable. They really go the extra mile to make this an exceptional B&B. The room is a bit on the small side but everything you could need is there. Cleanliness is superb and the huge bed is comfortable. Breakfast was great, not to mention homemade muffins and scones. The bathroom (super clean and spacious) is private to the room but external. The provided robes compensate for this tiny inconvenience.

Lovely family trip. We were traveling with a 1yr old and 5 Yr old. Beautiful set up and location. Laura was lovely very friendly. Loads of information given on area and things to do. Very quiet and relaxed area. Plan your days when travelling with children as there is a nice drive to most places.

The most beautiful spot with lovely country views and incredible historical charm. This property felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed and more to unwind and so many beautiful, thoughtful touches.

The house was very comfortable and very well equipped. The garden was beautifully kept and very tranquil. The garden is fully enclosed, which was great as our dog accompanied us.

Beautiful location with lovely grounds and a view of the castle. Staff was most accommodating and so pleasant. The sitting room and sun room were great places to relax. Breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Spacious living area and separate bedroom. Plenty of heating. Bright spaces and plenty of seating. Easy parking and good access to the lovely small towns all around.

Very clean, comfortable, everything you need to cook. Lovely gardens. Close to Dungarven and the beach. Very spacious. Very quiet. We had a lovely stay.

Staying at Happy Hill is better than staying at a five-star luxury resort or your own home. The owners are two of the most thoughtful and welcoming people I have ever met and know how to make you feel welcome without ever being intrusive. We arrived after a terrible night in which the little girl had stomach problems, we had to check in at 8pm, we advised that, given the situation, we would do it immediately at 5pm. We showed up, desperate, at 3pm and Anne and Mark were ready. They had changed our room to allow us to manage the situation more comfortably and they were very attentive. The rooms are delightful, furnished with true taste and extremely comfortable. They are very clean, I had to lie down under the bed to retrieve a peluche and I didn't see even a speck of dust. The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious! Ask for the yogurt because, I don't know what they put in it, but it's amazing. The place is quiet and we used it as a base to travel around the south west of Ireland without problems. Go there! You won't regret it!

Margot and John Joe were one of the sweetest people I have ever met. They helped me with travelling advice before my stay. They even drove me from Dungarvan center to their BnB. As I was travelling alone they offered me to take me to see the horse races in Tramore. Even though we had just met, they even drove me around the Copper Coast and took me out to dinner to a wonderful local village pub! Best hosts ever. It was a fantastic day, and I was able to learn about the Irish culture. The room was very peaceful - a perfect place to feel cozy and relax. Margot and Joe John make you feel at home. They are attentive to each detail. The whole house was cleaned perfectly - definitely the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen and I have traveled a lot. The bed matress was really really comfy and the shower was nice and big and I had a hot shower. The cows and horses add to the charm of the country house. And there is so much amazing countryside to visit around the BnB but also in the villages around. But it's also a very quick drive to Dungarvan town so you can do the Greenway bikeride or have fun in the pubs or party in the city too. I was travelling by bus and it was easy to get from Waterford to Dungarvan with the bus. I also took the bus to Cork. The breakfast was huge and the hosts offered to cook more and were attentive to all my needs, making sure I had everything I needed. Best place I stayed in Ireland by far! And probably the most relaxing house I have ever stayed in. Honestly best hospitality I have ever seen (and this is coming from a person who has traveled a lot and knows about hospitality). Margot and John Joe are the sweetest people. If you want to relax in the countryside and visit the south coast of Ireland Coolcormack Stud BnB is THE place to be.

Everything really! Catherine is an exceptional host and she’s put so much love into her B&B. The rooms are super cozy, comfortable and clean and the breakfast is amazing 🤩 This was our second time at No 12 B&B and we‘ll come back again for sure 💗
