We were looking for a clean, calm, quiet, non-smoking, non-drinking place to stay. And we found it here! We loved much natural light through windows (I don't feel comfortable in rooms without windows and I am sure that many foreigners feel like me.) We kept the windows open and enjoyed the clean and fresh air. The environment is so quiet, that most of the time we could enjoy the eagles' voice. A mosque is nearby, you can listen to their prayers, too. We didn't mind it at all. The location is not central, but if you are looking for a calm and peaceful stay, you can find it here, and can reach sights easily. We rented a bike for transportation during our holiday. No smoking and no alcohol is our basic lifestyle and we are happy, that we could find a place where we could avoid smoking and drinking people. Both the room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. We liked the nice interiors and simple decoration. The bed was comfortable with a special mattress. As a guest in Moonshine Homestay you become a part of a loving and caring family. We got much help, even before our arrival. Thank you for all recommendations and advice. We hope we can go back soon.

Our stay there was nothing short of amazing, and much of the credit goes to the incredible hospitality of John Uncle and his son, Ali. From the moment we arrived, John Uncle’s warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Ali, his son, is equally amazing. He’s also an expert when it comes to planning tours across Jammu & Kashmir. He took the time to help us craft an itinerary that balanced famous spots with hidden gems, ensuring we could experience the true essence of the region on our next trip and the current one was on a no plan basis. He also provides a bike rental service (a great way to explore Srinagar and beyond!). Their genuine care and effort in making our trip memorable stood out throughout. From thoughtful recommendations on must-visit places to helping us with logistics, they truly made us feel like family. The room was immaculate. TV had Netflix and Amazon prime ready to go. Air conditioning was perfect. The host was an absolute treasure, even took us to get an oil change for our motorbikes. The food was immaculate and more than edible. Private secure car parking in a safe area. He can organise tours as he is very in the know for his area. I can highly recommend this place as a safe base to explore.

Halt in Srinagar! Excellent Value & Location. A fantastic one-night stay at Lake Boulevard Guest House on my way to Ladakh. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Dal Lake. It's the best and cheapest accommodation I could find, offering amazing value. The host, Mr. Asif, is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. Highly recommend for a comfortable, budget-friendly stay.

One of the best location and view because it is the last houseboat in the series giving a very open view of the dal lake. All other house boats look into each other and there is no view at all
