Perfect. It's basic in some ways, but it has everything you could possibly need and more. There's a grand piano, a pool table, a ping pong table, a real Halloween themed amusement park attraction. The view from the kitchen and the outside patio is amazing, with fiery sunsets. The staff is incredibly kind. Kids are welcome and they have plenty of things to do without getting bored. The rooms are basic, but they have everything. You really can't ask for more. We had such a great time that on the way back we decided to stay a second night. Not to be underestimated, a 2km drive away you are already in open countryside with dark skies and little light pollution, so ideal for seeing the aurora.

We loved everything about the property! It was our first night in Iceland and it was a magical experience. The tents are warm, cozy and inviting with lots of thoughtful touches. The common facilities are extremely well organized with absolutely everything you need. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The staff are all friendly and kind. We only wished we stayed longer :)

1. Great location by the ocean. 2. There were six of us and we booked a deluxe two bedroom apartment, which had an outdoor terrace. We were there in mid-July, so we were able to enjoy a nice evening outside. 3. Well equipped kitchen and dining area. 4. Very clean bathroom. We would definitely come back again.

A small but cozy room with a private bathroom. A very good location, especially for watching the Northern Lights. It's about an hour of drive to Reykjavik and less than 20 to Selfoss. Eva, the host is a very friendly and open person; whenever I needed anything, I could always count on her, she also gives us a good advices about places to visit.

Excellent quiet location, comfortable beds, clean room, great breakfast and other hotel facilities (they do have an outdoor tub, but we didn't try it, maybe next time). Also we loved the little orangery where you can sit and have a snack and glance outside at the gorgeous Icelandic scenery. Should also be great for seeing the aurora. The hotel staff is great and provide you with excellent tips for your travels (we got a great tip on where to purchase real quality wool garments, thanks again!)

We spent wonderful days at the Barn House and felt very comfortable. The house is perfectly equipped and very stylishly furnished. The location is ideal for trips to Thingvellir / Golden Circle or towards the south coast (Vik, Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss). The communication with Kristinn was perfect. Thank you Kristinn for letting us be your guests.
