Big rooms with amazing views. The onsen was incredible and especially in the winter mind blowing my beautiful. The dinner and the breakfast were also exceptional. They catered to vegan and gluten free requirements as well. The location was remote and you have a unique onsen experience where you get a to switch off and relax and do nothing but eat, bath and sleep. You also get to pick a Yukata for your stay as well.

Fantastic location with great views of the mountains, and the onsens are superb. The super hydrogen onsen is no gimmick either, it made me feel so much more relaxed than a regular onsen. Not to mention the onsen has a great view of the mountain as well, making for a very relaxing experience.
Rooms are very comfy and the food was delicious. Easy to arrange the shuttle pickup from the station as well.

The location was excellent - deep in the mountains of Gunma. I chose this onsen because I wanted to stay in a remote location off the beaten path. The ambiance of the inn is incredible, and the baths are exceptional. This inn felt like a functioning inn from the past - it is rustic, shows signs of wear, and was cold inside in winter due to lack of insulation. It felt like an authentic inn from the past. That said, these rustic qualities are not for everyone.

The location is very beautiful in a slightly secluded place in the mountains. Staff at the front desk was very kind and professional. The greatest value of this place is the beautiful outdoor onsen, stretched over a charming mountain stream, consisting of several smaller and larger pools, most of them mixed - no worry though, the hotel provides special clothes for using the bath. With no doubts, this is the most beautiful onsen we have been to in Japan so far and we highly recommend it.

The location was gorgeous, and the staff were always very helpful and friendly. There were a large variety of baths to choose from and the outdoor baths had nice views of the river. There were also nice walking paths in the village.

This was an amazing place to stay, the staff were very accommodating and lovely. Big shout out to Tae for helping us so much and going out of her way to make sure we knew all the information for the property and ensuring we got picked up even though it was a late check in. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.

I loved the location, it’s a really pretty valley. Easy drive into Minakami and whilst we were not there during ski season, it is close to a ski slope or a hiking route during other seasons. Bikes also available for use.

Beautiful location and buildings built on both sides of a river. Incredible food (dinner and huge breakfast). Spa was wonderful and not crowded at all, even insects didn't bother (late August). All in all great value for money with traditional-style rooms, yukatas to wear while staying, dinner, breakfast and shuttle service to and from train station.

We loved the location. It is in the middle of nature featuring stunning views of the river. The onsen area is very large like a maze and intimate. The staff is incredibly attentive and funny.

Beautiful location, amazing 3 mixed outdoor onsens to enjoy with your partner (also more for men and women separately) Room was spacious and had a traditional Japanese style. Staff was super friendly and kind. The location offered a free shuttle bus to pick you up from the train station as well as give you a ride back. Really recommend this place!!

Kieren is very nice and flexible in helping us in many ways. There's bath, a piano, a cute dog named Lucky, and meals provided if you need.
This is kind of the best location if you're traveling with train and is planning to hike Tanigawadake, also probably the only place to stay in around the very cool mole station - Doai station.

Overall very good experience! The staff and owner are very friendly and accommodating. Coffee and baked goods were delicious. Location is great and there is plenty to do/see nearby. Facilities are comfortable and very clean.

Everything was amazing! Zack did a great job making us all (there were 7 of us) feel welcomed. The living space and kitchen was big enough to allow us all to hang out. Zack put a power outlet in each of the bedrooms to let us plug in all our devices. The showers were great! It really was a great place to stay.
