This perfect coastal location is well-matched with a lovely, roomy house full of all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Even with strong winds and horizontal rain, the outlook was mesmerising, and when the sun came out, it was great to step outside for a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nikaho - a great base for exploring (with a car) attractions in Tsuruoka and Sakata as well as views and waterfalls around beautiful Mt Chokai.

Great value for money, very helpful host who helped us securely stow our four bicycles and helped us find a bike shop. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable and we appreciated the sliding door allowing us to create two bedrooms.
