The guesthouse is located 5 minutes walk from Ryugasaki station( not Ryugasaki Shi Station ), and there is a convenient store and places to eat nearby. The guesthouse was very clean, and the manager, Ryukichi, was very friendly. He lent me a pair of bicycles, which helped me greatly.

Nice hotel for overnight stay or few nights exactly on train station so you can heard trains. Roomnwas big which was surprising for me in Japan. Everything was fine and I was satisfied. Only problem is that you can hear trains and from very early morning they started to clean hotel rooms and create big noise so you cannot sleep long. It was very bothering. Also check out is 10.00 which is very early as almost all hotels has 11.00. You can pay only 2 hours extra and it costs 1100 Yen per hour which is quit a lot.

Room was big and comfortable. Public bath was great, had the whole place to myself. Kaiseki dinner was outstanding.

I think staying in a ryokan is a MUST during a trip to Japan in order to get to know the japanese culture and tradition, and Wakamatsu Honten is perfect for such an experience. I wished we could stay longer, and the next time I'm in Japan I am defienetly coming back. The personnel is lovely, the location literally couldin't be better and rooms are beautiful - sleeping on the futon is so comfy! I would recommend eating here, we had an opportunity to get breakfast there and it was a traditional buddhist breakfast which was delicious and very educating. The common bath was wonderful. I really cannot express how much we liked it there and what an extraordinary experience it all was.

Only a small walk form the station, the apartment was what I expected for the fee and in the Japanese environment (clean, well designed, light and fresh). I have stayed in many places over the years I have been travelling to Japan. There are a number of Family Mart shops for daily stocks and a street food shop before reaching the ReLA location too. Security was excellent. Working in IT Security, I know full well the pitfalls of poor security, especially digital door access codes. When I arrived at reception (Digital Automated), it was very useful to have access to free WiFi to retrieve my email with all the information for the booking. I had been travelling for over 24 hours, therefore I was not prepared to wade through any pre-printed documentation I had prepared for myself. In the apartment itself, cooking and eating requirements were all catered for, except no cups for tea. Showering/bathing, wet room was of exception standard and plenty of room (I am 1.88 cm, 6'2"). Even towels, body wash, and hair wash were provided. Good water pressure too. There was plenty of space and chairs to relax and invite guests or watch TV if you preferred. Lighting was ambient and very adjustable. The beds were difficult to get out of in the morning, as they were way too comfortable. I slept well every night, there was little street noise from busy Kashiwa. From my 4th floor location, I also had a great view day and night of that part of Kashiwa, from a modest veranda.
