Places to Stay in Champasak

Wonderful accommodation on the Mekong with a helpful host and very friendly staff. Our room on the second floor was spacious and we appreciated the verandah overlooking the temple and surrounding area. It is possible to rent bicycles and motorcycles at the accommodation. The restaurant has good cuisine and a wide selection. The location is perfect - you can walk to the small center of Chamasak and various restaurants.

La Folie Lodge is a wonderful place with very friendly staff and great location to explore the South of Laos. The sunsets and the Mekong view from the bungalows are just breathtaking!

Location was good - close to the main walking street. Room was spacious and with a large bed. The great fan in the ceiling got the job done - it wasn't very hot in the room. There is a patio outside of the room to relax. For the room with a fan, towel is not provided. The owner helped with organizing transport.

Loved the very quiet location right on the Mekong River. Air conditioning was nice to have (if you like it!). The bed and pillow were also very comfortable. Gardens are lovely.

Clearly very well run and organised. Lovely clean room with very nice bathroom. Comfy bed, good WiFi. The onsite restaurant is great, serving a variety of very tasty, freshly cooked food and beverages, in a timely fashion. The ice cream sundaes were delicious! The location by the river is lovely and the town is also very nice. The owners are both very friendly and go above and beyond, even lending us a pressure washer to clean our bikes!

very good location, room #2 has great river view, room #6 has river and temple view, very nice. One, the owner is super nice and the food excellent. no better place to be in Champasak.

The Location of La Folie Lodge is breathtaking! The Mekong view, the sunsets, the gardens magical. However, equally wonderful was the fabulous Aum, who greeted us and helped organise our activities in Champasak. Her English was fabulous and she was so proactive, smart and hospitable! She gave us a bicycle torch in the evening, organised our bicycles on the boat to cycle to Wat Phu for the most perfect day of our holiday. If you are planing a Champasak vacation, Aum at La Folie is the lady to make holiday dreams come true!
