Amazing location in the country side but near archeological sites, that you can visit by renting a bicycle . Gorgeous swimming pool , excellent foods and nice staff. Very comfortable room with an incredible bathroom and on top of all , the delicate, kind and warm presence of the owner.

From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. Everything. Really good accomodation. Clean & super comfortable. Sanjay was a great host. His cooking was fantastic at dinner & breakfast. Organised Lion beer for us which was real +.He arranged for a tuk tuk driver to take us to the ancient city within minutes of our arrival. In addition a taxi next day to our next stop off. As per usual in Sri Lanka always a smile & such friendliness. Overall great stop off guest house. You wont be disapointed.

The hotel was fantastic. There were only three guest rooms so it was very peaceful. Our room overlooked the lake. The swimming pool was wonderful after a very hot day of site seeing. There was also a roof terrace to watch the sun set and also bird watching.

Really clean and quiet hotel on the edge of the town. They have free bikes which was great to cycle to the local restaurants and the ancient city. There is also free laundry, though I didn't make use of it in the end but good to know for fellow backpackers. Bed was comfortable, AC worked really well, hot shower. My room was spotless. The staff are excellent and extremely kind. I had an unpleasant encounter during my time in Anuradhapura and Lakshan was very kind. The owner Sagara also reached out to me which was so thoughtful. Highly recommend staying here, I felt safe there as a solo female traveller.

Wasantha has been our first contact with Sri Lanka and a great help even before we had a foot out of our plane! Recognised tourism driver, he picked us up at the airport and took us to Anurâdhapura after guiding us through SIM cards and ATM. His car is comfortable and while driving he gave us many advices. The Home Stay is comfortable, simple, clean and calm. The location is also very good. We had diner there and Wasa and his wife made us our first Sri Lanka curry! Very good! The family is welcoming! During our stay Wasantha was a great help to organise and put us in touch with Lalith for a super visit of the ancient city. We truly recommend Lalith for guiding!!
