EVERYTHING! This hotel was amazing , from Al aspects. Prasad and all the team, Hassan, Amila, Deshan and everyone else, were incredible! You never asked for anything to much and they made you feel so welcome and come for table always. They went over and above at every point! The rooms were stunning , location beautiful and the food was gorgeous! Leaving here was very difficult - whole stay was perfect , and this was mostly due to the staff and there unbeatable service

A comfortable villa located in a quiet village away from the crowded tourist hotels. A gorgeous, secluded beach with soft sand and palm trees is just 50 meters away. This beautifully appointed villa features a huge, fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living room. It also features two comfortable bedrooms and two separate bathrooms. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with fruit trees, seating areas, and a barbecue. The beautiful pool was specially cleaned at our request, for which we extend a special thanks to the villa owner. The villa is a 15-minute drive from Hikkaduwa's turtle beach. Keel's supermarket and an excellent seafood restaurant are a 5-minute drive away. I recommend this option for those seeking a secluded, comfortable getaway in the wild. I especially want to thank the villa owner for his responsiveness to all our requests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, this is the perfect place! The atmosphere is incredibly quiet and serene, making it an ideal spot to unwind. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was evident in every corner. The view of the river was just great. One of the highlights of my stay was the food – absolutely delicious! Every meal was prepared with care, using fresh ingredients, and the flavors were simply amazing. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything exceeded expectations. What truly sets this place apart is the warm and friendly hospitality of the owners. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always ready to assist with anything you need. Their kindness and dedication to their guests create a home-away-from-home feeling that is rare to find. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with outstanding service, delicious food, and wonderful hosts, this is the place to be. I will definitely be returning!

Amazing! We had several hotels, apartments in Sri Lanka but this was the best. We felt great there the location is amazing, right on the beutiful beach. There were some waves but you can swim or you can use a nice pool as well. The staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was great they brought a table for us and we had it in front of our room in the garden while listening the sounds of the ocean. There were shops, pharmacy, restaurants nearby. Looking forward to be there next time.

This was a fantastic getaway and wished the stay was longer. The place was beautifully decorated to give a luxurious feel, with traditional Sri Lankan pieces and art. The staff was super friends and oh my god the food they prepared was just amazing. A traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is recommended.

Aesthetics and the view from the pool. Never too crowded as they host limited guests. Staff around for any help at all times. Free drinks in the evening. Staff was extremely cooperative and went beyond the usual to accommodate our needs. Almost everything you’ll eat is freshly cooked, including the chips, bread, jams.

Lovely location, owner was so lovely and went above and beyond to make us comfortable - was really good about advising when there was a power cut and offering flexible options, even helped me get to an event in town when there were no other transport options! The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service. The Madu river scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to stay in such a quiet and peaceful environment. It is a really great location and a very loyal staff with adorable hospitality. Such a great place to enjoy your holiday.. Thank you! Will recommend to my all colleagues!

All I can say is that I left crying, leaving behind some wonderful people who made us happy, who satisfied all our wishes, took care of us, discreetly, without disturbing the surrounding peace.There is no qualification for the services offered. We had the privilege of being the only tourists in the hotel and all the staff managed to satisfy all our wishes. Do not miss the opportunity to cross their threshold if you are in the area. A small location with special people, where you will feel treated like a king.

The location is absolutely fab!! This place really exceeded my expectations! It is like having your own private villa on a private beach. The beach is extremely clean and beautiful. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Right from Anand who served us our meals to the manager Mr. Manoj and Mr. Indula, all of them were so cooperative and helpful. The rooms were excellent and the view is to die for! Will love to come back to this beautiful villa!

Dont look any further. This should be your place to stay at. Great staff, beautiful view on the lake, comfortable rooms and nice swimming pool. You can use the kayaks for free and the surroundings here are stunning. A lot of different kind of birds, monkeys, bats and other animals to spot on the lake. The owner speaks good English and you can see he puts a lot of effort to make this place perfect for his guests.

We were warmly welcomed and surprised by location, villa, atmosphere, staff, ocean. A very private, elegant & cosy hideaway, Indian Ocean quite in front our room, great breakfast was served, the staff took care of all our wishes, we also loved to visit the owners restaurant nearby, tasting all the fresh seafood. The owner speaks Italian & English. What a pity that our stay was so short. This accommodation is a good reason to come back and stay longer.

Such a great location! A calm place at the lake. You can start boat safari straight vom the Resort. Food is delicious! Usually I eat outside the stay, but in Kalapuwa Ressort I went for breakfast and dinner every day. Authentic kitchen with very good quality. The staff was so nice and welcoming. It really felt like home.

Our stay at Bay Villas Balapitiya was just perfect. The location directly on the beach is breathtaking, our room was well equipped and the served food was very tasty. The crew is professional and ready to help, but also very friendly. It was the best place we visited during our whole stay in Sri Lanka. We really enjoyed our stay here and would gladly recommend it!
