This place is magic. Absolute paradise! Madu and his staff were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our safari was well organised and Madu made sure we were well looked after. The food was superb and eating outside overlooking the lake during the evening was bliss. The hotel was without a doubt the best accomodation we have stayed at until now in Sri Lanka. The design is spot on. The layout of our “penthouse” was very well thought out and an excellent place to wind down after dinner. We have payed much more for other accomodations throughout our stay here that don’t even come close. The whole experience is almost a bonus on top of our Sri Lankan adventure. As for the safari, our very competent driver Dulita who we named Dr Dolittle took us on an unforgettable safari. We saw leopard, elephant, mongoose, monkeys, monitor lizards, crocs and countless beautiful birds. His spotting skills were second to none. A trip to remember for a lifetime. Highly recommended.

Just everything. Really nice apartment, specially equipped for western turists, with hair dryer, toilet brush, drinking water, big room and bathroom, with big patio in front of the room, plus swimming pool. What else can you wish more. It was the best experience during my trip in Sri Lanka. Big bonus was also Janaka, resort manager who organized Safari in Yala for us.

The Best Hospitality We Ever Had They were in touch with us since the day we booked their accommodation. Host picked us from bus stop when we arrived to city. In the evening owner joined with us for a evening walk. He brought us to a place to see more than thousand fruit bats in the evening by their own vehicle. On the way back we went to see a very rare owl at a secret place. They offered us all of these free of charge and when we leaving they dropped us to the bus station also. The hospitality was amazing and the best hospitality we ever had. Absolutely they are doing more than a five stars hotel. The price also very reasonable and we couldn't understand how they offer such a service for a very cheap price. For the dinner also owner dropped us to main city by their vehicle. About the room it was very clean There is a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and fishes The place is ideal for bird lovers. Located infront of a beautiful lake with beautiful flowers. Could see crocodile also in the lake. They offered us a super fresh juice when we arrived. Again a black coffee in the evening. They packed our breakfast for the safari at 4 am. It was very helpful. We did a safari with hotel. e had the best guide and driver. He gave us lots of information about the park and animals. They recommended us the full day safari and we did. It was a correct decision. We were lucky to see two leopards and all other animals. We had a very delicious Sri Lankan Rice and Curry for the lunch with fresh fruits. Unfortunately the prices of entrance tickets increased by government few months ago. But we understood it's out of control by host and safari service. Absolutely they are the best for safari. This is the best hotel and kindful hosts we alever met on our tour.

We stayed for 3 weeks in Sri Lanka and this was One of our favorite experiences. We truly loved the caring way we were received by the hosts, almost feeling like home. We choose to do a safari through them and everything contributed to have the most wonderful experience - they woke us up with coffee and waited until the jeep got to us. We also did have all our dinners there and it was great - the hosts even got a lantern so we could look for crocodiles around! Perfect stay

What a gem! This was without a doubt the highlight of our two week trip to Sri Lanka. The Safari was brilliant, but nothing beat the welcoming luxurious stay of Leopard Reach. We felt like being on a honeymoon in the wooden decked private hut, all amenities taken care of and we couldn’t decide on taking a hot tub for two in the room or plunge in our private pool on our deck. Decided to do all! The staff (glory to Silva and Krishan, who made us feel so very welcome as if we were visiting friends) was amazing, did delicious barbecues at night and took us on a welcoming walk around the premises and alongside rice fields and adjacent nature and wildlife. Worth every penny and wholeheartedly recommended!

Wow, such an amazing place. The guesthouse have the best location with the most beautiful view over the rice fields. It’s close to Yala and you can easily walk to the supermarket. The host is so nice and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. The room have everything you need and was really clean. They came with tea many times doing the day which we really enjoyed. We would love to come back another time.

Very nice location right next to the rice field. It is located a little bit outside of the city, but the city center is located in a walking distance (and there is actually nothing to see 🙂). Instead, you can sit outside in the garden and watch birds in the rice fields. You can even order some meals, and we got many cups of tea during our stay 🙂

Very nice, clean and well maintained property with great pool area. The staff offered a perfect service and organized a safari tour for us. The Breakfast and dinner was also very tasty and affordable. All in all a perfect place to stay near to the Yala National Park.

Nice, quiet location, away from hustle and bustle of the city center. Owner Manju knows a lot about Sri Lanka, from his extensive experience as a tour guide. He can give great advice and helped us out at the moment our tuktuk broke down. Very good food. We booked a safari through the hotel, and it was a great experience. Good driver that knows how to find all the animals and really takes pride in finding them. We saw the leopard, elephants, elks, jackals, sloth bear and many more.

The BEST place to stay if you plan to do a safari and stay some days to explore the zone. A perfect hotel, with an amazing pool and very nice staff. They take care of every single detail, JUST AMAZING!!!!! If we come back to Sri Lanka we will repeat 100%.

An absolutely stunning place to stay! We were surrounded by luscious greenery and spotted kingfishers and peacocks as we relaxed by the poolside. Our cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. Amila and his family were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful - they arranged an excellent safari, took us to a local festival and sorted our transport to our next location.

Beautiful place to stay, really great rooms, view and pool. The staff were lovely (and especially their gorgeous dogs!) The food was also really really good here- they do need 1.5 hrs to prep and make food so I would recommend ordering in advance rather than waiting until you are hungry but it is very worth it as it was some of the best food we had all trip. Great location for getting to Yala too and we liked the company for Safari they booked for us.
