The villa very close to the Welligama beach which is ideal if you want to have some drinks with some breeze looking at surfers or book some surfing lessons (well worth it!). There are also a number of food courts. Most importantly, the staff make you feel very welcome. Not only do they provide good service (what you expect from a Villa), but they are also observant and friendly. Even though we went as a couple, I think this Villa is well worth for Families, friends or solo travelers because of the friendly staff and the beautiful location. The Breakfast was amazing my stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The entire property felt well maintained. The Pool is cleaned frequently and nice. We definitely will return to this great Villa.

An amazing place where I spent 5 weeks! It has a large green area with only 5-7 small standalone cottages. There are many animals and birds, and most importantly, they don’t make noise at night. Nearby is Jungle Beach, one of the few places in Weligama where swimming is comfortable since the waves are far away. The staff is wonderful—always polite and quick to resolve any issues, though there were very few during my stay. Communication was very smooth and comfortable! I talked to many people on the island, and I believe it’s hard to find a better place—hot water, good Wi-Fi, lots of greenery, no noise from roads or trains, air conditioning, excellent service, and only 7 minutes by bike to Weligama. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was exceptional. There are plenty of options and all of them were delicious. The breakfast includes free coffee, free juice of the day, and a free choice from the breakfast menu. We had lunch and dinner on many occasions at the hotel and everything we tried was very good! Their cocktails are also nice! The hotel also has a power generator which is a blessing for times when the power goes out (this is common in Sri Lanka). The staff were all super nice, always with a smile, and willing to assist with our requests. The AC worked perfectly and in my opinion is a must in Sri Lanka in order to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was modern, with warm water and particularly good water pressure. The room was always clean. The view from the rooms and rooftop restaurant/bar were very nice. In case I visit again, I will return to Scenic Bay Weligama.
