Wonderful setting in the forest. You can slightly hear the highway, but the trees do a great deal to block the noise. Probably the best option for staying in Xpujil when comparing to other places to stay. The pictures definitely match what you get. The kitchenette has everything you need and they provide some snacks and a few cervezas to enjoy. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Facilities felt very safe and secure (gated). Wish we could have stayed another night.

We loved our stay at Cabañas Aldea! The smaller cabin was already taken during the dates we wanted to book so we ended up booking the larger two bedroom cabin and we loved it! We felt so cozy and comfortable there. It was so quiet and a perfect place to rest after our days exploring Calakmul and the surrounding ruins. I highly recommend it as a place to stay when visiting this region!

Our Tucán suite was clean and comfortable and private. We were happy! The staff was very nice and friendly and accommodating. Great location surrounded by nature and near all the archeological sites.

Amazing location and great equipped bungalow with hammock and a small terrace. The meals in the restaurant were delicious, staff very polite and fluent in English. Felt very secure because of the very experienced dogs guarding the vicinity and our table with food :)

Our room was basic but clean & comfortable.
Appreciated having the rooftop terrace for breakfast & chilling out in the afternoons.
A convenient place to stay for visiting the Rio Bec sites.
However Xpujil has become a very dusty truckers town due to the construction of the Maya train. Accidently walked into two brothels but quickly walked back out again!
We did find two reasonably good places to eat.

Great location just off the main road en route to Bacalar - but do watch out for big potholes and ruts as you leave the main road. Easy to find. Our bungalow was very clean and well equipped and Arturo our host was extremely welcoming and helpful. Amazing birdlife on the doorstep. Toucans flycatchers orioles literally just outside. Arturo has lots of bird feeders and watering holes for the birds. He was able to point out birds to me that I would not have seen otherwise. Would highly recommend. Good pizza in town.

It was everything perfect. Really nice room with badroom included. The bed and pillow are confortable, and the sheet are mega Soft :) the owner is super friendly. In General super good. Perfect location to Visit Calakmul

Good location, off street parking, lots of hooks to hang stuff, enough power points. There is WiFi. There is no-aircon but there was a fan. There is a mosquito net over the bed but luckily we did not need it. It was very cheap, but had everything you needed. Helpful staff. Tasty cheap food available from bakery across the road. Good for day trip to Calakmul

The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The location was conveniently close to the center, allowing us to easily walk to shops and restaurants. We also felt safe during our stay.
There was a refrigerator in the reception area that we could use, and they kindly warmed up water for me when I asked.
