Places to Stay in Abisko

Location was very good. Close to the railway station and outstation Bus stop. Cottage was close to the reception and lobby. Kitchen was adequately equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed going on well marked trails, the waterfalls, the lakes and the mountains.

Great location with excellent staff. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was so tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here whenever visiting Abisko.

It was a friendly warm place to stay. This is really a winter place or if you have a car. Situation not so good for solo traveller on foot. Its a 40 min walk to any activities. Staff really friendly and helpfull. Clean kitchen and sauna.

Amazing location with very convenient rooms and facilities. Pleasant atmosphere within the main building and all the surroundings. Rooms and common areas very clean and comfortable, plenty areas to relax after trekkings and hikes. Very helpfull staff with polite and friendly attitude. Good breakfasts and nice bistro on site.

Best place to stay in the area. Also had the BEST restaraunt with fresh options and an amazing service staff. Easy travel among the Abisko forest and sights in Kiruna as well. Lots of communal living space inside and out.

Lovely rooms with great facilities. Staff were friendly and let us store our bags (and use the communal areas) after we'd checked out. Great place to stay in Abisko.

Great location close to the national park. The canyon at the park is a must-see! The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Everything was just as expected. Perfect for a one-night stop when travelling between Finland and Norway.

Tidy guesthouse, convenient location on the way from Finland to Norway. The area is very beautiful and Abisko National Park is only a couple kilometers away. For one night stay it was totally fine for three people.

Fantastic location, clean, and best value you can get in the area, especially for a private room. It is in central Abisko Ostra, couple of minutes walk from the station, supermarket - and you can get coffee at reception - and a 10 minute walk to the lake (you may see moose and it's a good dark place for the northern lights!) There is a great, flat path from Abisko Ostra to Abisko Turiststation, 30 mins walk max, and is lit, so can walk day or night.

Excellent location 3 mins away from train, 15 mins away from the lake, 3 mins away from supermarket Most local tours will pick you up there. Good cooking tools, showers and all. Everything clean Service was polite and helpful

Everything about this plate was brilliant, location, helpful and friendly staff, facilities were excellent for essentially a hostel with a great bistro, lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay there again

The location is great. The beds, pillows and blankets were comfortable. The shoe and clothes drying closet in the entry area was extremely useful. It ensured that our shoes, socks and towels were dry for every use. The sauna in the hostel area was great and we used it every day.

The location is superb near to the train station

The location of STF Abisko Turiststation is just perfect: You can start hiking, skiing etc. right from the front door. Whatever equipment you might need, can be rented in the shop, which also offers a limited range of food and drinks. The breakfast is ok, though not impressive. Dinner is also ok. - You can get all the information you might need from publications in the hotel or from the very helpful and friendly staff.
