The hotel is run by a very welcoming, friendly family. They helped with everything from airport transfer to special requests like earlier breakfast time. They replied in very short time to our messages prior to our stay. The rooms are in a very authentic old building, freshly renovated, well equipped and super clean. It is a nice touch that other than the usual food, the breakfast includes local continental delicacies made by the family. The location is in a few minutes walking distance from the centre of Avanos with many restaurants and stores nearby. Historic places like Goreme is also only 10 minutes away with cheap taxi services or regular buses. The two little cute puppies who live on the property were the cherry on top! I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Mira Cappadocia hotel. From start to finish the service was excellent. Prior to arrival the hotel kindly arranged all the activities I had requested and the airport transfer, which was paid for during our stay. The owner was kind, friendly and attentive, as were all the staff. They could not have done more to make sure we were looked after. The activities we booked were varied and were fun and informative. The facilities were spot on. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms with all the basics you would need. The rooms were tastefully decorated and there were nice outdoor sitting areas. The breakfast room was on the top floor and had a fantastic view over the town. There is a terrace also which makes an ideal viewing point for watching the famous Cappadocia hot air balloons. The breakfast was delicious and so filling. It set us up perfectly for the day ahead and what we couldn’t finish was offered to be packed up for us to take with us. The area itself is really nice with plenty of activities within easy reach by car. The town is within easy reach on foot. We didn’t have a lot of time spare to explore all of it but there are plenty of shops, cafes/restaurants, and a lovely riverside where we noticed there are gondola type boats that you can go out on the river in, probably in the right seasons (we visited mid March). If we return to Cappadocia we will definitely stay at Mira Cappadocia and highly recommend it. :)

I had a wonderful stay here in Avanos. The check-in was smooth and the staff were always kind and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was fresh and filling, a great start before exploring Cappadocia. The location is excellent very close to the town center and the river. In the early morning, the view of the hot air balloons rising in the sky was simply unforgettable.Overall, it’s a peaceful and comfortable place to stay, ideal for couples, families, or solo travelers. I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Avanos.

Staff is extremely friendly and kind! She helped us book transpiration and actives around the city! The Turkish breakfast is divine! The room is extremely beautiful and keeps you cool in the summer heat. You get a little balcony area that is more private, perfect for a night smoke or talk! As for the location, it is a bit far away from the main city but you can get a bus or taxi for very cheap, so the beauty of the house is totally worth it even with the distance.

Atax Hotel is ran by a traditional Turkish family with all the hospitality you could ask for. Being just outside Goreme is a perfect location without the early morning noise from balloon flight taxis etc. The owner Ali is the perfect host and can organise you all the trips you want without having the hassle to haggle with the many travel agents. He organised our balloon flights and ATV sunset ride which were excellent value.

This hotel is quite new and rooms are really nice, clean with cave looking style. All the furniture is very comfortable. Breakfast was great with variety of food. We had to add additional bed to our room and staff was great and helped us with that. Things that can be improved: AC, bathroom to have sealed door for more privacy, some mirror maybe. But overall we really liked the hotel, staff and the location. Would highly recommend to stay in this hotel when you are in Cappadocia!

Nazlim was an amazing host. The stay also had breathtaking views. Although a little far from the city centre there’s a very cheap bus nearby that takes you straight in and is much cheaper than the taxi. Nazlim helped set up a surprise of champagne and roses whilst I was proposing to my now fiancée on the hot air balloons. She also provided a great recommendation on where to eat some food, we walked there and when it started to rain Nazlim appeared and drove us right to the door.

The receptionist Mustafa was friendly and helpful with changing of money, booking tours, hot balloons, taxis, early morning coffee and recommendations on where to have breakfast, dinner, etc. The location of the hotel is a walkable distance to the bus stop as well as an attraction site worthy of visiting. There’s also a terrace where you can watch the balloons go up in the mornings.

Located in the peaceful town of avanos. Walking distance from a beautiful park by the river and the city center. Hospitality by the staff was exceptional. They are warm and friendly people. The common area sit outs were perfect to wind down with a beer at the end of a long day. The rooms are cozy and clean and more than you need if you’re spending most of the day site seeing.

The location is a fairy tale. Nicely decorated rooms, very clean, close to the tourist center of the village. The breakfast was delicious and varied.
