I didn't plan to travel Sanyi but prices were just crazy during weekend in Taichung and Puli so i gave a try... and honestly it was worth it. Good and clean hostel with friendly and helpful owner. I recommend a stop here and go hike Huoyanshan mountain .

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location in the countryside. The man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful in showing us where everything was. The place has an excellent vegetarian restaurant with a delicious buffet and hotpot. There is also a lovely cafe with good coffee and waffles. We did a couple of the indigo dye workshops and really enjoyed ourselves. One of the teachers spoke very good English which was helpful. The walk to our room took about 10 minutes uphill through a beautiful garden full of flowers which made me think of an English summer, in spite of the cold wet weather. We also met the owner in the garden that she created herself. She offers DIY workshops to make plant decorations as well. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and this place is magical. Loved every minute.

It's more of a motel homestay type, so dont expect hotel standards. But still, owners take effort to keep it clean and provide you with all the necessary amenities. Very friendly lady boss who would tell you where to go for the Tung Flower trail (not a lot of flowers), Family mart and Shengxing station. Boss also helped us carry luggage up 2nd level. And gave us a lot of breakfast food the next day. Thanks!

The owners are very helpful and kind. On arrival Mandy drove us to a great local eatery for our lunch. Willie her husband came over to chat with us in the evening. He was able to converse with us in English and this was great. We really appreciate their kind gestures. Their home has interesting art pieces. The house is very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay in.
