Jua Zuri is a great choice to feel at home during your visit to the Usambara Mountains. Three lovely brothers (Obedi, Geoffrey and Awathi) take personal and extremely friendly care of your well-being. Together with the whole family, they provide clean, tastefully furnished and friendly accommodation with phenomenal views, informative and competent guidance on an unforgettable hiking tour in beautiful nature, a good start to the day with a healthy and rich breakfast, a miraculous recovery with basil tea or coffee after a strenuous hike and well-being with a very tasty freshly prepared dinner. For our private anniversary celebration, we were even delighted to receive a homemade cake with writing on it and a serenade from the children. We will definitely be back, but when it is warmer.

I really enjoyed my stay at Lushoto Executive Lodge. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help, which made me feel at home. The location is peaceful with beautiful views, perfect for relaxing after exploring Lushoto. The food was also delicious and freshly prepared. I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Lushoto!

We had an an amazing time at Lawns Hotel, the staff is super friendly and very helpful for whatever questions you have. The food and the view are excellent! We also booked a half day hiking trip at the accompanying office and it wa an amazing hike through the beautiful and luscious mountains.

We had a great stay! The staff is super friendly and made our stay pleasant. That's not always a given in Tanzania. We felt welcome after not feeling so comfortable at another hostel in town. We enjoyed the restaurant food, which was always freshly prepared for a good price. Also the laundry service was excellent. The rooms are really clean, it's quiet and the garden and balconies so pretty. Beds are comfy and the hot water was exceptional :D. Asante Sana.

We loved the host (so kind) and the staff, the location is perfect (you can start hiking directly from the hotel). In the evening the host cooked for us for small money (we asked in the morning if it’s possible). The day hike to Irene view Point was amazing!! Taxi from the village (nice market) was 10.000, boda boda was 2.000. we love to come back one day (with our kids -hihi)

Beautiful and perfect location, walking distance to the centre. Fanaka is the best host ever, he helped us with basically everything we needed. We had a lovely stay at Lawns after a busy few days travelling and simply relaxed. The staff are great, the friendly barman made us some nice cocktails and lit a fire for us in the evening. The food was good and through Shamba Eco tours (on the property) we organised a short hike to the Kisasa waterfalls which was beautiful.

Nice location in the middle of nature. The room was very modern and clean. The host David was extremely kind, and the food was excellent. We stayed for 1 night, but we would definitely recommend staying longer to explore all the surrounding activities. It is also a good place to start your multiple day hike from.

Amazing location. Unfortunately we just spend one night but we will definitely come back for longer. The location was beautiful, the rooms are super clean and comfortable. Also the Garden and the dining area are cozy and beautiful. You can see monkeys while you have delicious breakfast. The host David and his family and staffs are all very welcoming and super helpful and friendly. Can’t recommend more.

Fanata and his family are very welcoming, warm hearted and just a nice company to be around. We extended our stay for 2 nights, because the vibe there was so good. The beds are comfortable, the shower is warm and from this location you have a good view over the Usambara Mountains. Via a shortcut, the center of the village is reachable in 5 minutes by foot. If you want to explore the area without a guide or if you need a guide, the host Fanata is very helpful. We would recommend this stay to everyone!
