Stunning views and homely atmosphere. Uncle Pat was very welcoming and made us feel at home. His garden is beautiful. Close to the lake for some excellent fishing. Will definitely visit again. The backup inverter gas stove and gyser was extra added benefit.

This is a beautiful little place high up on the Brenton side of Knysna overlooking the sea. The unit was very clean, tidy and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful in pointing out a few places and restaurants to visit in the area.

What a great place with amazing views of the ocean. Brenton is very safe and has a nice beach. The house is beautiful with nice spacious rooms. I arrived a bit late due to car troubles and the manager was so kind to wait for me. Much appreciated. The breakfast she made was nice too. Recommend to stay here, you will have a peaceful time.

We were lucky to get a last minute booking here and we couldn’t fault our one night stay. From our arrival at the reception, the porter Sunshine’s friendly helpful service taking us to our beautiful accommodation, the plentiful supply of logs for the fire in our room, wonderful bath and toiletries and the delicious food both at dinner and breakfast the next day. The coffee at breakfast was the best hotel coffee I’ve had in a long time. The only disappointment was that due to load shedding we couldn’t use the spa facilities during our afternoon but I had a wonderful time using the pool , sauna etc the next day before walking back through the beautiful gardens before sadly having to say goodbye. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Breakfast was good. Would have loved an Eggs benedict with Salmon but always a fan of this on a breakfast menu. Location was good, just outside Knysna. The views were absolutely magical if you have the right room and from the breakfast area. Very quaint Italian style villa. We will definitely go back.

We loved our stay here. The location is incredible, the house immaculate and very comfortable with everything you would need during your stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. Hearing the sound of the ocean while falling asleep, feeling safe, walking to the beach for coffee, a snack, for dinner - all part of a wonderful holiday experience. We will definitely be back and make this an annual visit. Brenton on Sea is truly a restful and magically place to escape to.

The location was in a conservancy so small buck were in the area. Not far from Brenton lake. There was a small garden provided for the dog I was travelling with.

It was beautiful. Genevieve is a lovely host and showed us around and gave us wonderful advise as to where to get supplies and the best oysters which didn't disappoint at all. We loved the guest house. The view was beautiful with amazing sunsets. The beach close by too. We all enjoyed our stay there and should we go back that side will definitely go back there to stay. The location was also perfect for us. It was truly a wonderful stay.
