Contrary to most places that have a sun deck or a garden, here, you get your own private bungalow with private terrace and lounge chairs plus 2 gardens, and being high up on the hill, the views are stunning. The room is very spacious, with a super comfy bed and a living room area with 2 huge windows overlooking the lake and Illampu( which you also see from the bed). The bathroom is sparkling clean and large. There’s a heater that works so you sleep very well. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, as is dinner. We stayed 2 nights, wishing we had stayed longer. But the very best of all is Sonia and her children who are so nice and welcoming and will do anything possible to make you happy. They arranged for donkeys to carry our luggage, I recommend you do;) Really really can’t recommend this hotel enough.

The staff could not have been more helpful, going above and beyond to make our time in Copacabana comfortable and enjoyable. The view over the lake was gorgeous, and the rooms were lovely.

You have amazing lakeview and the North of the Island del Sol is beautiful. The family that runs the hotel is super nice, they went the extra mile. Great breakfast, the rooms are pretty, hot water in shower, comfy bed. Sincere recommendation, we had a great time!

At the hotel, each room is fitted with a desk. Our stay on Isla de la Luna was amazing. The host at this location are fantastic and I encourage everybody to support them. Great view on the mountains and also well located near the ruins.

Isla del Sol can be reached by boat from the charming town of Copacabana from there is a 30 min uphill walk. You can hire a donkey ride for the luggages . The hotel's location on the island is privileged, as it is a 30-minute walk from the Temple of the Sun, Pilkokaina. The separate Island of the Moon is 8 km away. Copacabana can be reached from the cities of La Paz and El Alto approximately in a 3-hour drive. Great location and the owners were lovely and accommodating. I recommend for short and long term stay
