It was one of the most amazing stays I’ve had in Colombia. The posada is right by the airport. The owner is absolutely amazing and arranges everything for you. Motorbike rental? Snorkeling or diving tour? She’s got it. I didnt know how to ride a motorbike and she took time out of her day to teach me. She also took the time to show me the grocery store and gas station on the island. The room was so cute. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into it. It’s also a relatively newly built posada too. It was spacious, so clean, and the bed was big and comfortable & the AC is STRONG! The room is cleaned everyday and towels were changed every two days. There’s also a terrace with hammocks that look out into the sea. The kitchen is clean, spacious and open concept. It comes with everything you need (salt, oil, pans, etc..) There’s also a family restaurant downstairs where you can get lunch & dinner. And for breakfast they have an empanada stand which is SO GOOD! Definitely try them all with all the sauces. You can’t go wrong. This posada is so incredible….I could literally keep going on. so worth the price & they treat you like family. I can’t wait to come back with my partner next time. We deeply appreciate all the effort put into making Monasterio del Viento such a luxurious and well-run option on Providencia—it truly shows. Herbert was incredibly easy to communicate with and arranged everything we needed seamlessly. The level of service was truly five-star, and we’ve already told many friends that if they ever visit Providencia, Monasterio del Viento is the only place to consider!
